I am very disappointed with the website and customer support I received from EABCO. Their product is exceptional and offered at good prices, but they are rather high handed and do not accept responsibility for website errors.
Recently I ordered a T/C Pro Hunter rifle with 2 different barrels and scope mounts for over a thousand dollars from EABCO. When I ordered from their site ( http://www.eabco.com/encore.html ) a list of all possible rifle barrels was displayed with each barrel itemized with a "Info/Order" selection-designation distinctly preceding each caliber. I selected the 28" 30-06 barrel and was taken to the "Add to Cart" window, which I promptly selected. Unbeknownst to me, the "Add to Cart" window automatically reverted/defaults to the lowest caliber, a .204 round, independent of my original distinct selection. I therefore inadvertently ordered the wrong caliber rifle barrel.
When the rifle was delivered I found that I had purchased the wrong barrel. I contacted EABCO and asked to exchange the barrel. And was denied. It seems that they had mounted the scope block making the barrel "custom" and not returnable. Of course the barrel is sold without sites and anyone expecting to buy the barrel will require a scope mount anyway .... but ......
Since I am a firearms dealer, I was purchasing the barrel for a customer and required to deliver what I was paid for. This means I have been required to purchase a new 30-06 barrel and "add a perk to my customer" for the mess-up with the order by adding a muzzle break. This has cost me an additional $516. As such dealing with EABCO has turned out to be a loosing proposition.
Why, because of a simple error in the order processing within the EABCO website and a total disregard for their customers. Remember, if you deal with EABCO they have great product and very reasonable prices but "be very careful of their website and expect no support from their company... especially if there is an order error" !!! read more
