We also fed the goats, spent time with the sheep, and milked the cow. We also went on the hayride and played on the playground area for a bit. It was incredibly hot the day we went, but we still enjoyed it immensely. I want to go back in spring to see the baby piglets and more kittens. I was told the baby sheep like to be held like human babies and will sleep in your arms. I also want to go back in the Fall for a pumpkin and to spend time there when the leaves are changing.

On top of a small hill, you'll find the store and orchard. Stop in the store and get directed to the right orchard and bags for your pickin's. They are very nice and tell you how to pick the ripe and ready. I went for the sweet Honey Golds.. "make sure there's a pink blush on one of the apple's cheeks" I didn't know apples had cheeks! They were easy to spot and pick. AND TREE RIPE SWEET. They also have Macintosh, Cortlands, with twenty other varieties. I didn't have time but you can sometimes also pick fresh produce products ... strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, sweet corn, squash and pumpkins. Pick your own apples & vegetables or buy at the retail store. When you've picked your lot you go back into the store to weigh and pay. Stock up on their locally raised Angus beef or buffalo meat AND OF COURSE spicy Sheboygan style brats too. (beats the heck outta Bavarian or Stadium style) YOU BETCHA!

Upon entry, you'll pass lots of fun photo-ops like giant pumpkins, scarecrows, and hay barrels. They have a giant barn front and center with pumpkins for sale, along with honey and a few other local products. My kids were most drawn to the big area filled with animals - from goats and cows, to peacocks and chickens, lots to see. It's a 'feed at your own risk' scenario so we just stuck to petting them. They also have a few playgrounds to climb on, a big ol' corn maze that we thoroughly enjoyed, and horse-drawn wagon rides! My son was adamant we took a ride, and with it being only $3/person to ride, we thought that was a nice deal. The wagon took us through the colorful woods and across the massive pumpkin patch where we could pick our own to purchase on the way out. We've been to many of farms like these over the years, some super done up and spectacular, some smaller like Bulitz. Would rate this one a thumbs up and worth a little visit if you're in the area.

This week they had blueberries from lower Michigan. So sweet and tasty. This is a nice simple clean farm with pretty much every seasonal vegetable available. The service is always friendly. I approached a staff member behind the table where you pay and he had his head down on a phone and i politely said that i had a quick question. his head remained down and he sighed and replied with "just a second" very rudely. after, i said that i was just wondering if they took debit and credit cards and he replied with a "ugh yes" that had so much rudeness and an annoying tone underneath it. after that, i didn't even want to spend my money there anymore. disappointment!
