We had been there before so I knew there was a little bench/sitting area outside of the bathroom. So after using the bathroom, I thought it would be the perfect little area to decompress and take a little break and have a couple snacks so go sit down on the bench get our snacks out put them on a little table start eating them five minutes later the door that separates the area to the wedding venue section opened up, and I hear this lady talking to a woman with a child and a man explaining to them that they can change their child's diaper on the bench.......that was already occupied by myself and my child.....and she continued to explain it to them AFTER she saw us sitting on the bench. I have nothing against the other mom. She was just doing what she was told. But with that being said, I have changed my child's diaper in weird locations and there was a diaper changing station in the bathroom 10 feet away with no line. So at that point it became extremely awkward for everybody involved. I tell my child to hurry up and finish his food and collect his garbage which felt like minutes, but was probably only 30 seconds with the other family still hovering over us waiting for us to get up. He asked me why we had to leave and I didn't answer him. I had no problem with the other family. Maybe they didn't know there was a changing table in the bathroom, once again, they were just doing what they were told. BUT in my opinion, they never should have been told that. The other lady basically kicked us out of the spot. We were already well established at. Out of the almost 7 years that I have been going to fun activities basically every weekend with my child I have never been disrespected like that. Now with that being said, I do not believe it was her original intention to do so, but I would like for her to know that she did offended me and maybe next time see if the bench is already occupied and provide another location. Maybe double check if there is a line for the bathroom first. Yes I know it is a first world problem. But I have been thinking about this since Mother's Day. We can call this review constructive criticism...... but maybe not so that again.

From the maze and hay rides to the petting zoo, there's a ton of stuff to keep the kids happy. And for the adults, there's *FOOD* - so much and so good! We had been recommended this spot by a few friends and finally went to enjoy it on a sunny day. The entry way is large with plenty of goodies to purchase if you're interested, including apple cider donuts, pumpkins, fresh honey, pies, and more. You better believe we left with multiple items. So good! Once you pass the barn entrance you come upon a huge open space with a playground, chicken coupon, basketball station, swings, and giant house filled with corn kernels for kids to play in. The landscape is wonderful with little rolling hills and tunnels for kiddos to run on as well. Behind this section you'll find rows and rows of apples for picking. And the most spectacular part, in my opinion, is the area with all of the farm animals! They're so nicely laid out on a path the explore with clever little houses/set ups. And to point out again, everything is very well-kept! Other highlights to note: easy and ample parking, picnic tables to hang out by for a snack/lunch, a food truck on site as well as other eats you can purchase from the farm inside of the barn entrance. We thoroughly enjoyed this spot and will no doubt return next year.

For being a farmstead, you'd assume the space to be a bit more untidy/dirty, but they do a fantastic job. We entered into the initial barn where we found a bunch of baby farm animals! There were plenty of staff members about helping kids take turns holding animals if they chose to. Oh and there is a big hand-wash station, which is of course appreciated. As we wandered on to the next space, we found tons of outdoor yard-like games and activities - everything from hula-hoop'ing horses and duck tik-tac-toe, to outdoor bowling lanes and ride-on trikes. Safe to say our kids were stoked! Another bonus: the huge corn pit. It was so busy while we were there, but it's big enough that there was still tons of space for kids to all play at once. It was filled with toys, trucks, and buckets too. The best kind of sensory overload. We then wandered into the next/lower barn, and to our surprise: tons more animals to interact with! Cute chickitties, little pigs & mama pigs, goats, chickens, the list goes on. It was kind of a shock how well-mannered all the animals, meaning at no point did it feel unsafe to interact with them. We loved walking around this large zoo and being able to interact with so many of the animals. It was nice that we were able to buy food to feed the animals when we purchased our admission. We arrived about mid-day, so that meant it was feeding time. After the animals were fed (what looked like maybe Panera breads and rolls) they were so loud and lively! It was really a cool thing to see. If you have small children with you they might be scared by the loud sounds, but we did see a lot of kids there who were enjoying their visit. The little petting area at the end was a nice bonus too. The attendant was very friendly and told us about some of the animals. Not a bad way to spend a morning or afternoon if you're in the area, just make sure to wear good walking shoes!

The owner came out immediately upon exiting our car and gave us a tour of the lavender fields. We were allowed to walk through it and touch the plants to experience how they smelled differently. He told us of the various uses. They have two well-established plots and one in the making. They also have a beautiful flower garden and are working on a wildflower garden in the back. At the end we visited their store which is outdoors but a building is on its way. They sell products at markets as well. We bought lavender lemon lotion, lavender soap, chocolate lavender brownie mix, and lavender simple syrup. Our friend bought a roll on scent and a fresh lavender bundle. The bottom line is the family were so very friendly. They decided to go and pick fresh lavender (of any kind she wanted) for the bundle. They will talk about anything regarding the business, growing lavender, the history of the place. It's not a huge establishment but we were so impressed by our visit. Worth the drive!
