The three guys (The three J's) showed up on time after calling an hour ahead to let us know they were on their way. We gave them a quick tour of the house and the foreman did some kind of amazing 3-D Tetris in his head. I was looking periodically to see how they were fitting in all of our weird shaped furniture, garage tools, and different sized and shaped boxes containing 30 years of our lives. The crew used GREAT CARE in the handling of our things. They treated each item like it was a family heirloom. When we got to our new house, they continued to use great care with our doorways, walls, and steps. It was very very impressive. All this for 20% less than the other guys. We were so pleased, we feel like moving again. Okay, maybe NEVER AGAIN, but if we ever do, I hope to use Baymeadows Express Movers again. VERY professional!

We are so very appreciative and happy to support local business! Great customer service, quality and cost!

Recently, I hired Quick Moves of Florida to move my household belongings. Prior to signing them up, I asked around and was surprised at the number of people who were so displeased with the movers they had used. Needless to say, this feedback worried me. I looked them up on YELP and saw that the comments were all good. I spoke to Michelle in the office and liked her explanation and decided to hire them. Move day was January 30th. They were scheduled to be at my door between 9-9:30am. At 8:30, I got a call from the lead guy, Joe, who said that they would be a little late. The two movers and their truck rolled up to my driveway at 10am. Joe Stingone introduced himself and his partner and we discussed what was about to happen. Then they got to work. They loaded my packed boxes and furniture. Both of them - Joe and Jonathan - were very nice and respectful. They were talkative and asking me relevant questions such as what stays and what goes. They used blankets to wrap most of the furniture (dressers, bookcases and some tables) so they would not get damaged in the move. They handled fragile items with care. I was amidst the whole time but not in their way nor micro-managing their work. The job was quick and efficient and finished earlier than I expected. Their fees are reasonable and not outlandish. I saw them do really good work - the best that I had seen to date. I highly recommend Quick Moves of Florida.

I had a very disappointing experience with Sunshine State Movers. I was given the option of an…read morehourly rate or a flat rate of $500, but I felt pressured to decide on the spot, which already felt uncomfortable. Once the move started, the mover's attitude became cocky, snarky, and condescending. During the move, my neighbor misplaced the keys to the truck, and while we were trying to locate them, he continued charging me hourly while standing around in the pouring rain and telling me to call a locksmith. When I asked him to pull some items out of the truck so we could check whether the keys had fallen near the boxes, he seemed irritated and unhelpful. At that point, I asked whether we were doing the agreed flat rate or hourly, and he told me it was hourly. I decided to end the move because I no longer felt comfortable continuing. I was alone, dealing with the situation as a single mom, and I genuinely felt taken advantage of. What upset me most was how the job ended. He did not properly put everything back into the truck before leaving, and my king mattress was left outside in the rain. I had to drag it back into the truck myself. He did not ask if I needed help or make any effort to leave things in a reasonable condition. The entire experience felt unprofessional, disrespectful, and unnecessarily stressful. I would not recommend this company based on how I was treated.

Not on purpose, but not a huge amount of care given. Ohana was completely different! I only needed to move across town, and I'm at a point of my life where I have reasonably nice things, and I hoped to find a company that would provide an elevated moving experience. I interviewed several moving companies in the process. I met with Jay from Ohana who came out to look at my furniture to give me a quote, which no company has ever done previously. I immediately liked him, and when he told me that his company moves furniture not only for the Cummer Museum, but also for the Lighner Museum, I knew his company was right for me! His bid was ever so slightly more than others but only by $100 or so, but I didn't care about that small difference. When moving day arrived, Ben and his crew were very communicative, and super polite. They got right to work, and had everything packed and the truck loaded in a few hours. Ohana was even flexible enough to stop and pick up some furniture I purchased between packing the truck and unloading in my new home. They took extreme care in wrapping every piece of furniture, including a couple of irreplaceable family heirloom wall clocks from my grandparents (priceless to me). They were so careful in the loading and unloading process (and they had to carry everything up stairs to my new 3rd floor condo during unload). They never complained! And stayed so pleasant and personable during the entire process. Even when it started raining during unload, they made the necessary adjustments. They worked almost 10 hours non stop! and when I started in packing, I never found even a scratch on any of my furniture, and it took me almost an hour to unpack each of my heirloom wall clocks (because they had packed them so thoroughly!). I HIGHLY recommend Ohana, you will not be disappointed!

This company was recommended to me off-hand by a friend who I called hysterically after the ATI disaster- and when I called and tearfully explained my situation to the lovely office manager, they kindly fit me in last-minute. I mean, there I was, all packed and no one to move me... but they came through. BIG TIME! God bless them. Not only that, they showed up within 30 minutes of my phone call, which was a comfort, considering the movers I had originally booked with (ATI) showed up VERY late and then couldn't get parked and started! I cannot say enough about the professionalism of these men, or their courtesy towards me. They were very kind and they worked SO hard to get me moved. They treated me as if I had been on the books for weeks. They put me at ease and laughed with me. They wrapped up my furniture and everything was transferred perfectly. I am so, so grateful to them for everything. Moving is so difficult, but they made me smile and relax after a really awful morning. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Thanks, guys.
