So I asked if we can move the start date up. He and his wife, Erica (then-fiancée, who now manages and procures for the business) moved their schedule around to accommodate my request. He is very dedicated to the work. I learned that they got married in the middle of our project. He just took 2 days off; got married in the weekend and was back to work on Monday! Sorry, Noah and Erica. He appears to have an artist's eye; made sure to put quarter rounds even inside the closets (which are largely hidden from view, see picture). He laid the planks vertically from the front door instead of horizontally (which, if done, would have cut the flow from the entrance). He matched the quarter rounds with the existing baseboards, so that if the latter has a small angled side, he would cut a small piece of the quarter round to fit that small side, instead of just doing a right angle. It looks aesthetically finished, instead of just looking "done". Erica is the same. When Noah was running late going home, he sent her a photo of what he thought was a finished job. She saw that some of corners and door-jamb trims did not have quarter rounds. She told him he had to do them. They're a good team. Noah is straightforward and very amiable. He explains what he does and is never impatient with questions, however inane. He is generous with his knowledge and is willing to teach how things work. He finished the job right on schedule, which allowed us to spend New Year's Eve in our new home. Fast forward to a couple of months after. He came back to fix our sprinklers that sprang leaks. He diagnosed the problem and made adjustments to make the existing system work. When you hire this business, you are assured of a job well-done.

Primo was quick to respond to our initial request and provided a detailed and professional construction plan along with a 3-dimensional model of what the finished project would look like. Kevin and his team were able to quickly answer any questions that we had and provided a quotation within 2 days. Primo handled all the inspections and permits required for the Woodlands Association approval. Primo built a new 500 sqft gabled patio with a 7' wide wood burning (gas light assist) fireplace along with sitting benches on each side. The fireplace, benches and supporting posts are finished in natural stone veneer with a "dry stack" installation. The floor was constructed with Belgard Origins pavers in a Crab Orchard color. The ceiling was finished with a cedar tongue and groove finish along with a pony wall and cedar collar ties. To finish the project, Primo also installed new cedar fencing in the back yard. We are 100% completely satisfied with the workmanship and responsiveness of Primo Outdoor Living. They finished the project on time and were completely transparent with all aspects of the construction. In our opinion, Primo has an outstanding team that completed the project as agreed on. Kevin (owner) was at our site every morning to answer our questions and oversee the construction progress. The Primo construction crew were dependable and arrived early every morning. They did not require any micromanagement whatsoever. David, Juan, Jaime, Chealbi and the rest of the Primo staff are outstanding, easy to work with and can be counted on to do the right thing. While we are very happy with the final results, getting to the so-called "finish line" proved to be…read morea bit of a challenge. That is the reason for this update. This remodeling project was begun around July 21, 2022. About three and one-half weeks later, the job was listed as complete and we were once again able to use this bathroom. However, during the following week, we had to have someone come out again to make repairs: hot/cold water in the shower was flipped; hole along the tile and baseboard discovered; silicone was coming off the niche area in the shower; caulking was incomplete around the perimeter of the shower floor. Once those repairs were made, we thought that finally we were done. Nope. The paint on the ceiling started to peel above the shower. A lot. Finally had the painter return to repair that and we thought, once again, we were done. Apparently not, since we were told the ceiling was "fixed," but something different was evidently told to Roberto. After another week, the entire ceiling showed pieces of paint peeling off. Called for another repair. This time, Roberto came out and told us that the ceiling hadn't been done right in the first place and our only option was to tear out the entire ceiling and start over at an additional cost of $450. That did not sound like a reasonable idea, so it was then suggested that the ceiling texture be redone instead and painting would be done with eggshell (semi-gloss) paint rather than latex paint. We accepted that solution and waited for it to be fixed, finally. Painter came out and did the work at the end of September, but in total we were once again out of that bathroom for 5 days waiting for texture, primer and paint to dry. However, this seems to have truly repaired the problem - thank goodness. Then I get emailed an invoice for $350 for the ceiling repair. Wow. Paid that invoice on September 27, 2022: almost 10 weeks after the job was begun. Unfortunately for Roberto and his crews, though, he was what you can call "penny wise and pound foolish." We had informed every contractor that gave us a bid for this bathroom that based on our experience, we would then move forward for the really big job -- a complete remodel of the master bathroom -- a much larger and more expensive project. Because of the 6-week drag after "completion" and delay due to the ceiling repairs (along with other fixes) and the $350 invoice we received, we did not even consider a bid from Kitchen & Bath Remodeling for our master bathroom. Chose another contractor instead.
