Red red wine...plus a great variety of whites, rose and sparkling wines! Plenty of spirits and liquors at super reasonable prices! :) Stuff here is organized by location - so France, Italy, Chile, etc. all have their own special section. I've been here a few times now as it's my neighborhood liquor store, but yesterday probably took the cake for me (so to speak). I was literally down to the wire wish putting finishing details on a dinner I was hosting for my mom and boyfriend to meet each other when about 15 minutes before his expected arrival I realized, ALL I HAVE IS WHITE WINE!!! HE LIKES RED WINE ONLY!!! Not to mention my momma also prefers red. Being the selfish alchy that I am (my mom has a few glasses of wine like three times a year, lol) I only really stock whites/rose for my tastes. Knowing already what type of red everyone would like wasn't the problem, it was wanting it to be something more special is what I was struggling with...and I've got only 10 minutes to find the right bottle! ACK! Normally the boy and I got for a Tempranillo or something similar - sweet, not too dry, not too spicy, a little smoky is fine. But when I went to France in September and brought him back a bottle of Côtes du Rhône, he absolutely loved it - as did I, and I knew my mom would too...I was determined to have a repeat experience and have a Côtes du Rhône with dinner. I'm also not the type of gal that goes into any store and immediately asks for help. I went in here, went straight to the France section, couldn't find it. Frowned since it's not the first time a place doesn't carry it so I grabbed a Tempranillo and hightailed it to the register. The young guy there was about to ring me up and I decided to (nicely) blurt out, "Do you guys carry any Côtes du Rhône?". This guy didn't even blink an eye, he was like - yep. Bolted for the France section and pointed out 2 types. He even chuckled at my original Tempranillo grab and enlightened my by saying that Tempranillo is simply the Spanish version of Côtes du Rhône and is made with a similar type of grape (I found it a little hard to believe with each country/city having such a vastly different climate) but at the end of the day, I was guided, given wine I wanted, a little more educated about the reds that I enjoy and all in what felt like 10 minutes. He was a lifesaver! :D The wine was delicious and now I love Colony even more! Who0t!!!

Hmm your sign says 11 but it's only 10:50pm

There is a lot of liquor stores in the area, but this is my favorite one! The staff is friendly and helpful, not pushy at all. Sometimes I need more time to decide what I want and nobody bothers me. I really appreciate that. In January it was my dad's birthday. I had no idea what to buy for him. I came here and ask if they have gift cards. My dad is really picky with the wine he drinks, so didn't wanna take a risk. Unfortunately they said no. I was about to leave when the lady stopped me and said that we can work something out. She said that she can give me the business card with her signature and the amount I wanna give and that will work as a gift card. I was worried that my dad may have problems using it but she told me that she is the owner and assured me there will be no problems. And there wasn't. They really care about their customers and that's another reason why I like to come here.

The *only*…read morething I'm not super fond of is the fact I've experienced some 'tude via the phone on multiple occasions. For that, I have to detract a star, but even so this is a pretty quality operation that merits a look. The store seems small, but the layout is conducive to the stellar selection of wine and spirits. Furthermore the place is clean and doesn't have that musty odor that many liquor stores tend to have. Those spots smell like unkept basements, while this place could be someone's home. They have a really awesome selection of wines and quality imports such as a decent soju and sake collection. I also appreciate their line of spirits and how organized everything seems to be. For collectors or gift givers, they have some really neat high end versions of various spirits which come in specialized boxes / collection / kits, etc. The prices are as good as the selection. Not too expensive and certainly affordable considering this place has a loyalty system (points per purchase) that can be redeemed after buying a certain amount of bottles. in terms the overall package, Muho is one of the better liquor stores in the neighborhood.
