OK it is a tricky job moving a piano so take 2 and they are late again (only 2 hours this time) but Montréal traffic is a nightmare so I am ok with waiting and not getting a courtesy call. Receptionist does not speak English very well and was ..well rude. Oh did i mention they didnt wrap the legs of the grand piano and it bounced around in the back of the truck so legs were chipped . And to add insult to injury I caught them covering the chips on the legs with a magic marker. Really ??? I said.... Needless to say they did not repair the piano despite my calls. Plainly said the company is dishonest and rude and incompetant. Apparently the move for the Steinway dealer and were recommended. Oh well live and learn.

They lost some of our valuables, sent some stuff to the wrong city, and took ZERO responsibility. To call it a dispointment would be an understatement. Our family was super upset, and then their insurance compamy wouldn't support without countless materials that were not possible to produce. I would NEVER work with them again. I'm actually quite sorry to write this, but wow. what a terrible experience. DO NOT USE

I have used other movers in the past who had complained about the amt of stuff I was moving, but not these guys, they were professional,, courteous, easy to book, communicative, and on time. The company refused to take responsibility, despite their employee handling the TV. After the move, we also discovered additional damage, including a broken office desk drawer and damage to a closet storage unit. I was hoping the company would stand behind their service and work with us to resolve the issues, but that did not happen. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Anber Moving. I encourage others to be cautious and make sure their belongings are properly protected and documented before using their services.

I wish I had seen these reviews before hiring them; I simply thought they were a good option. I…read moremoved from Montreal to Toronto and sent pictures of everything I had in my house. They gave me a quote, and we agreed that my belongings would arrive within 4 days. However, they were 3 days late. Each day that passed, I became more concerned, and I had to pay for another hotel night, which in Toronto was around $200 + tax per night for the cheapest option. Every time I called after the agreed-upon delivery date, they gave me an excuse. First, they apologized because the truck had broken down, then they didn't call when they said they would. I became increasingly worried about my belongings. After an additional 3 days of waiting, my things finally arrived. However, before unloading everything, they charged me double the amount that was initially agreed upon. I was almost in tears from the shock. When I asked to speak to someone, the person I spoke to wasn't Jack, but a rude guy with an Indian accent, who arrogantly told me that there was an overweight charge I had to pay if I wanted to see my belongings again. When I questioned why I had to pay double the agreed amount, he told me it wasn't his problem and that he would place my things in storage, charging me daily fees until I paid. That's when I realized it was a scam, and they had my belongings on their truck, holding them hostage to defraud me. I paid, feeling terrible, and later I discovered that there is an association of certified movers, which specifically talks about these kinds of scams and illegal actions. What this company did is described as illegal by the association. Please, this happened two years ago--do not trust this company.

I ended up going with Kings Transfer for a few reasons (price was ok, but they always picked up the phone and asked the right questions) but was a little worried beacuse of their reviews on here. In the end, the move was near perfect. I packed myself but they did pickup transfer and delivery and everything arrived with only one small bowl broken. They were on top of everything and the movers were pilot on both ends. I would recommend.

We have had one- and two- star experiences with various moving companies in the past, so to be honest, I wasn't expecting much. But this experience was a pleasant surprise in every aspect. We were blown away by how organized the packers (Ron, Neil) were. They definitely knew what they were doing and how to best optimize the space in each box while keeping valuables intact. The guy in charge, Réal, was kickass. There is no other way to describe it, he ran the show and he was on top of everything. What I loved is that he was managing both the packing/loading and the unpacking/unloading at the final destination, so he was familiar with our belongings and how everything was organized. Kimberly in the office was a real sweetheart, and was extremely patient in dealing with us even when we didn't have many details of the move finalized (destination address, day of move, etc.) I chose Kings because they seemed to excel in customer service, and I was proven correct. They were not the cheapest quote I received (nor the most expensive) but I would gladly pay more for an impeccable move in which absolutely nothing went wrong. I know...I didn't think such an experience existed. Thank you, Kings Transfer!
