Chance the owner was very timely, he assessed the damage, checked humidity levels, investigated the extent of mold, removed samples of the flooring material for further testing and coordinated with our insurance company on our behalf throughout the process. He and his team removed the old flooring and prepared the house for new floor installation. Chance also managed the sub-contractors during installation and final cleaning. In ancient Roman religion, Fides was the goddess of trust, faithfulness and good faith. Fides Restoration excels in each of those categories - a veteran owned company and a job well done! Chance is a very nice guy who talks a fantastic game. On our first consultation he sounded like he…read moreknew the process well and gave some solid advice. His crew were also extremely good guys. Chance was always there to answer my text and or emails. However, the work itself was awful. Everything from the kitchen was suppose to be individually cleaned and placed into a box due to the toxicity of the fire smut. However everything was just tossed (literally) into boxes. Broken glassware among other things. Some items were just placed in random spots in the garage. I've been finding them for 4 months now. Nothing was cleaned well, most items still had the powder from the fire extinguisher. Staples were left in the wall, crown molding was damaged, paint was damaged from the tape used, and the adhesive was left on wall & floors. After everything was said and done, the toxicity test still showed an elevated level. All that being said, when I contacted a claim adjuster they said they heard of fides, and he does great work, just not for fires. Which was my experience.

I could write a novel about all the ways they are…read moreabove and beyond any level of service in Florida but I'll do my best to keep it shorter... but only slightly. How did I meet them? My neighbor had a pipe leak that they were working on and thought it might be best to check the neighboring units in case they were impacted (my HOA didn't tell me they did). Top Flight came over and tested and I had significant moisture. They were so empathetic to my situation and worked around my schedule to come in and set up fans. Their staff (Britney stands out) is ON TIME and COMMUNICATIVE (which no one is in Florida). They were clear with communication, patient when I was stressed and went above and beyond what they needed to in order to ensure my home was in good shape. They didn't just stop when their work was done. Jon spent hours on the phone with me guiding me on how to deal with insurance and even put me in touch with a phenomenal construction company who provides the same level of white glove service. Given how long fans had to be in my home the staff became family. I had a lot going on and was comfortable enough to leave my door unlocked so they could come and go as they needed since I knew they were going above and beyond for me. The Top Flight team became family. I always stocked the fridge for them and made sure they were hydrated... It's rare that you are said when a service team is done in your house but I actually missed seeing them every day. On top of how timely, polite and communicative they were they also were extremely careful in the home. They left everything cleaner than when they arrived and were just such a pleasure to be around. They always were optimistic and happy and made a stressful situation far more manageable. I know my neighbor and I still plan to do a BBQ with the staff because they just became that integrated in our lives. Simply put they saved me... from stress, money and whacko contractors who don't respect your time. I am forever in debt to them and would recommend them to anyone!!! Thank you Top Flight!!!

Did work beyond the estimate and stayed within budget. I live out of state, I asked the plumber who responded to the leak who he would recommend and Jon / Top Flight was it. I called- they responded quickly,and came the next day after consluting with plumbers and me to save the weekend/overtime charges. His crew communicated well with me, took needed pics, came back to get info for the insurance company Jon and his office team were easy to work with and I trusted everything they did. The contractor I hired to complete things was complimentary of Top Flights work too.

As the property manager, I feel responsible for our entire property. Servpro help make the fire, water damage, clean up, and repair process a pleasant experience. They made all the units and common areas affected look like it never even happened. Servpro knows how to park and act on our property so not to disturb our customers, all employees are background checked, in clean uniform, have the proper liability insurance for me to feel comfortable, know what they are doing as industry experts, and know how to work with all insurances/payment scenarios depending on the given situation. Be very cautious with this company. We suffered a slab leak in our townhouse is about 500 feet of…read morelaminate flooring and baseboard. We called Servpro and they were very responsive, coming out the next day to do an evaluation. However, they would not start remediation until we could provide them with an insurance claim number. That should've been our first point of hesitation. We were told repeatedly that "we will work directly through your insurance and your insurance should cover this". They were very reassuring and did fine work. After three days, our house was dry and ready for repairs. Those three days were billed at $5700. That averages over $11/sqft for a relatively modest leak. Unfortunately, this used up a large portion of our insurance coverage. Our insurance paid us for the repairs we did, and then there was no money left to cover the water remediation. Unfortunately our insurance company was also incredibly delinquent of informing us about this. Fast forward two months later- I receive an email between Servpro and my insurance company on which I am cc'ed that says "we will be entering collections and placing a lien on the home in six days". Apparently there had been much back and forth between Servpro and our insurance company and no one had bothered to tell us. When I called Servpro the responses included "I don't care where the money comes from I just need a check" and "it sounds like you're problem is that you're underinsured". They also would not budge on the six day timeline to start the liens and collection process, despite the fact that I had not been sent a bill or notified that my insurance company wouldn't cover it. They also acknowledged that they had not provided me with any sort of written estimate and stated that this was industry standard to not provide estimates. Had I known that Servpro was going to grossly overcharge my insurance to the point that my coverage was used up before repairs were done, I would have made different choices both about mitigation and about repairs. As it stands, I am out 5k because I don't have the time window to adequately fight this without a lien being placed on my house. Here is my overall impression: 1. They respond quickly and do fine work 2. They overcharge and do not provide written estimates as they likely are covered fully under most people's insurance policy and therefore most people never even see the bill 3. My experience with the billing department was poor. Ask for a written estimate and know your policy limits!
