Trying to get a contractor out to do the less exciting work is difficult right now. Multiple contractors told me remodels only and 1 even told me nothing under 20k! Previously I had contracted with Lowes for my door and they backed out because it was "too hard" (I kid you not!). I was straight with Vlad about my less than exciting needs and he was more than willing to do the work. His estimate was the same as Lowes and fairly priced. Vlad told me his team would be there at a specific date/time. They showed up EXACTLY as promised to the minute. They worked efficiently without need of support from me and came prepared to do the job. I got 1 call about something they saw while working the property; this was my issue, not theirs and I appreciated the fact they told me what they saw. They didn't mind the fact I would sneak out to look at their work (I like to watch professionals do their job; its fascinating!). They cleaned up nicely, walked me through what they did, and I paid with a check no hesitation. So my photos are of the unpainted result; this was as I directed Vlad and his team. One photos is of a piece of drywall that was sagging that he replaced. But what I would want you to notice is that the texture in consistent and lines up with the original texturate on the gypsum. We had Vlad check out a wall in our home as a pre-purchase due diligence. He showed up to the appointment on time and was able to provide an estimate by the end of the next business day. His estimate report was less than ideal as he was unable to provide a breakdown of his pricing. His estimate was much more than expected because he wanted to cut into other walls. We did ask him to look at a ceiling, so I understand why he was providing information on that. After a slow process in trying to have him break down the pricing, he was able to give use an estimate on just the wall we needed repaired. We paid a $125 estimate fee in which we were advised that this could be applied to the wall repair when we were ready for it. Come a couple of weeks later and we are ready to fix the wall following purchase, Vlad has been non-responsive and not returned any of our efforts via phone call or text message. This lapse in communication is a serious red flag and I will not let someone that cannot even follow up with communication work on my house.  He was fairly responsive during our initial inquire, however now that we want the work done, we feel totally ghosted. Perhaps the job is too small for him to even bother? That's fine...just SAY SO. I even gave him a chance by reaching out via yelp before I wrote this review. He responded, but it was a very non commital response. If you can reply via yelp, why cant you call us back?? I am not one to write a poor review...so this is more so a cautionary tale for others. We are first time home buyers and wish that we had done a little more research about general contractors before moving forward with this company. read more

Vlad came right on time for our (free) consultation. Gave a fair price and his crew showed up right on time the next week when I was available. They worked fast and efficient and consulted with me about design challenges for my older home guest bathroom. They did not leave w/o checking with me that work was done, and cleaned up after themselves. We contacted Vlad with interest in doing o complete interior remodeling of our $ 2750 sq ft home. He was quick to meet with us and to to submit a lack luster proposal. We received some CAD drawings which were inconclusive. Vlad gave us a start date. We proceeded to provide him with decor features and material selections to be included. The response time continued to drag out. With Vlad's suggestion we signed a temporary lease agreement for 5 weeks so as to be out of his way. Last week, before executing lease agreement I received verbal agreement from Vlad that we should proceed. Now, one week before start date, Vlad pulls out of the project! We are on the hook for lease, packing materials and laborers. Not to mention at least 30 days of lost project time. BEWARE AND FOR WARNED. read more

I had a leak in the wall between my closet and shower for an unspecified amount of time that caused one whole wall of my closet and a part of another wall to need to be replaced. Vlad came out to do the estimate and took the time to understand the whole issue and make suggestions of opening up another wall to see if the water seeped over and also to setup a fan to help dry things out. My dad was able to open up part of the other wall and sure enough the insulation was wet so we were able to get that replaced and fixed. I really appreciated the time he took with me looking over all the potential issues. I felt so comfortable I asked for an additional estimate to finish some painting 2 other contractors had failed to finish. The estimate that I received was very reasonable so I went ahead and scheduled the work to be done. Eddie was amazing! He worked very efficiently and did an amazing job. Within a few short days my closet was back to pre-leak status and you can't even tell there was an issue. Additionally, all the painting is now complete and I finally don't have all those unfinished touches staring at me anymore. I would recommend Dynamite to anyone (and already have been recommending them) and am already planning on using them for another upcoming project. read more

First, let me say that he came out and did an estimate right away and seemed incredibly knowledgeable. I was so excited to hire this company to remodel the kitchen in my mother-in-law suite. Unfortunately it took two weeks to get the initial estimate rather than getting it by the end of that first week as he had stated. Then the estimate was missing some major components... The install of a gas stove and stainless hood (and that's really a BIG part of this project). When I emailed him about this, a week later I still had not heard back with an updated estimate so I emailed him yet again and left a voicemail. His response was that he thought the vendor would install yet he and I had very clearly discussed that Dynamite would do the installation. Bottom line is that he added another $250 to the estimate and still didn't give me any info on his availability (which I asked for a few different times). As much as I would love to hire this company because I really genuinely think he knows what he's talking about and the price is reasonable, I think he is just far too busy and may not do a good job on my project because he didn't care enough to get me the estimate when he said he would, missed major components on the estimate, didn't respond to my email for over a week, and he also didn't answer his phone or return my call. I know my project might not be as big or important as his other projects, but it is very important to me and I would have been happy to schedule this several months out if needed. I just want a company that I can count on to pay attention to detail and communicate in a timely manner. Very disappointed this didn't work out. read more

I hired Dynamite to install a range/oven and hood in my kitchen and I couldn't be more pleased. After a bad experience with a home warranty company, I was left with an uninstalled range/oven and hood in my garage and a hole in my kitchen where the broken range used to be. I needed the kitchen space modified to fit the new range/oven, electrical installed for it and also the hood installed.
