So as of right now, you'll receive a chair massage. There was a client who stopped by to get their feet massaged. I stopped by on a late Monday afternoon for an unplanned/spur-of-the-moment massage therapy session. I have a big exam on Tuesday so I need something now. Their employees greeted me as I approached. There were three staff members. Each were working on a client. They offered me a chair. I waited for 15-minutes. When it was my turn, I did the 30-minutes package for $42 + deep tissue for $10 extra. It was a good 30-minutes as my therapist rang out my tight neck, shoulder, and upper back muscles. He also worked on my mid and lower back, as well as my arms. As any normal massage session, I was sleepy afterwards. The next day, my body was sore, a delayed onset of muscle soreness, which is a normal a physical response to the inflammation as the body heals. I was fine later. I'll be back when they reopen their storefront. I see they offer cupping for a reasonable price.

They were really curious about my specific pains and informative about how the massage would target them, and afterwards detailed what care I should continue to help conquer all this tension I have. Mo was really good at applying pressure and following my body points to release it--I have really tense shoulders and neck and they did a lot of work to loosen them up, and stretched a lot of muscles I didn't even realize I had (lol). I had also never done cupping before and they walked me through how it all works and the benefits, and I'm really glad I gave it try because those areas feel a lot more relaxed after the treatment (and the hot stones after felt sooooo gooood!). I booked a 90minute float therapy session Good: Made a last minute appointment and was able to get in so I loved that. The front desk staff was nice when welcoming me. They also have a vending machine that sells THC beverages which was nice. They encouraged me to use the bathroom which was very clean and well stocked. Then essentially explained what to expect while in the room and pretty much left me alone. That was nice. The not so good: An even better experience would have been to offer robes before going into the float room or something to get guest more relaxed before going into the tank. Or maybe a glass of cold water. I understand wanting to control water intake but it gets pretty warm in the room and you get thirsty! There was no soap available and you are required to shower before getting into the tub. I didn't realize what was in the shower was shampoo and conditioner because they weren't labeled. They give you a thing to support your head while floating but I think providing goggles or some sort of eye protection would have been epic. Maybe someone more seasoned would have know to bring something but it was my first time. So of course I got salt in my eyes. Very uncomfortable. There was also no sort of lotion for after the session I did ask about it and was told they had a shipment delayed and so they didn't have any of the things you'd expect to be standard at a spa. While I understand. It would have been a good idea to include a care note or something to give a head up. That was disappointing In summary. I didn't have a bad time or a great time. It was just okay. The float therapy itself was good but I think the business missed the mark on the pre and post care for me.
