Stay clear of this company. Their 'free ' movers are amateurs who ruined several pieces of our furniture. They denied our damage claim because there is no 'proof' they are responsible for the damage. They charged us for 80 protective blankets we rented while our furniture was in storage. When we unwrapped the furniture there were only 50. We weren't reimbursed..also allegedly because we have no proof! While our furniture was in storage at the alleged 24/7 access location on Taunton Rd. their system went down and we couldn't access our belongings fir two days until they finally figured out how to open the door manually. No one ever contacted us during or after the event, say to apologize maybe? It was all swept under the rug. The internet required to use their app was down for nearly a month. read more

Don't use dymon storage. There goal is to separate you from your money and keep both. They will pounce immediately the minute you miss a payment and they charge ridiculous late charges for every day. Staff (greenbank) is very helpful but its not genuine. Dont take there "free" unit for 2 months. Its another scam, itll cost you. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

I rented a storage unit from the Dymon location off Prince of Wales a few years ago, and since then I've seen them popping up all over the city. With all the stuff I have from my job, I needed to find a place to keep it all. Solution? The new Dymon location at Carling and Kirkwood (right before the highway). I filled out an online request form and had an email within 12 hours with a price list. For a 5'x5' storage unit I'm paying about $70 a month. I emailed back with my preferred move in date (about a week later) and they set everything up along with a time and free truck and driver (this has got to be one of the best things about this place). They called to confirm the day before which was nice as well. The driver showed up about 15 minutes early, and was super helpful. I didn't have a lot of stuff, so it went really quickly but they also provide you with bungees and blankets should you need them. Once I arrived, I signed the lease (you can do a set term or month-to-month) and grabbed my keys. You have access to a boardroom which is nice, and you unload indoors (thanks god!) which is helpful in case of snow or rain. The place is HUGE and super neat and tidy. They have a ton of dollies for you to use whenever need be, and the staff are super helpful. They also offer some other services like mail delivery (they'll sign and accept packages on your behalf which is great), and DymonMine which is like a kijiji service where you can post your furniture or anything online. This place is great, and I highly recommend it if you're someone who has a ton of stuff, or a business owner who needs a spot to keep extra supplies. read more

I was never given the number of a higher up to speak to, and overall spent multiple hours trying to get help on an issue that could've been solved in minutes. Before this incident, my experience at Dymon was great. The facilities and workers had impressed me. But after this I am left with such a sour taste. read more

I have a storage unit with Dymon and I haven't regretted it. The location that I'm at is clean, well lit, and secure. At times when there are no staff available, you need a passcode just to enter the facility. Then you need a passcode to get to your floor. Then obviously you need your key to access your unit. There are cameras in the hallways as well. It's nice to know that you can move some valuable stuff without having to worry too much about safety and security. The facility is available to access 24/7 which is obviously pretty important. There are lots of carts for you to use, so rarely do you have to wait for a cart to become available. If you need moving/storage supplies, they have them on-site for you to purchase. If you have extra stuff you don't need, you can even post those items and sell them to other people. Dymon has a free truck and driver available to you for move in. I didn't use it, so ask them about the details. Staff have been very helpful and courteous. There are multiple locations, but I'm at Carling/Kirkwood which is directly off the highway and also accessible by bus. Obviously you can't transport a bunch of stuff on OC, but it's nice to know that you don't have to rent a cab just to get to your unit to pick up smaller items. read more

Went in to pickup something from my dad's storage unit. I'd never been before. I needed to go to the 6th floor. Apparently most of the elevators don't even go to the 6th floor. So after entering a couple elevators and not even seeing my floor, I figured I would just take the stairs. Joke's on me, both sets of stairs I tried were closed as there was construction taking place inside them??? Finally I try another elevator and this is apparently the only one that goes to the 6th floor. I get up there and God forbid they actually have any useful signage. Nothing but a bunch of useless fake street signs. That doesn't help when you're looking for a numbered unit. Unfortunately my dad's unit didn't have an address associated with it. After roaming the halls for a bit, following the numbers, it didn't take long to find the storage unit. I grabbed what I came for (a heavy headboard) and tried to lock the unit. The app kept saying the unit was locked and the light was red, but a gentle tug on the door and it would open. I tried completely shutting my phone off to make sure the Bluetooth wasn't keeping the unit unlocked, didn't matter. Phone off, unit would not lock. After more messing around it finally locked. Now I just needed to carry this headboard to the elevator. The seemingly impossible to find elevator. Some may call me silly, but it was like the maze runner up in there and no matter how many laps and turns I made through those damn hallways I just couldn't seem to find that elevator. Oh well, I don't mind taking the stairs..... oh wait, they are blocked off for construction. Oh maybe one of these exit signs will point me in the right direction.... nope they only point to the blocked staircases. I hope there isn't a fire because if there is, I'm gonna die. Its literally illegal to block off all the emergency exits like that. Especially in a facility with literally NO SIGNS where everything looks the exact same! So after a panicked phone call to my partner who was waiting in the truck down in the loading bay, I nearly gave up and decided to just walk through the construction zone in an attempt to get out of this God forsaken place. My poor partner was in the truck with our dogs, who he couldn't leave unattended, and he desperately needed to go pee. Because I was dazed and confused in this damn Dymon for so long my partner had to handle his bathroom needs in a less than desirable way. Only after about half an hour of carrying this heavy headboard around these identical hallways, sweating through my winter coat, did another living being finally come on to the floor and offer me some guidance on how to gtfo. They then shared a similar story stating their first time and how lost they got. After finally getting out, I called my dad to tell him about my experience. He then shared the time that he got lost up there for so long that he had to call the front desk from his cell and have someone find him and escort him out. Now before you call me a Karen, I have worked retail and restaurant service. I have been used and abused in every way by every type of terrible entitled customer. I swear I'm not a Karen. I'm actually a pretty reasonable person who never writes negative reviews but I just had to this time. That kind of poor management is a safety hazard and could get somebody killed. Not to mention, I'm sure this company makes more than enough money to afford a few signs on each floor offering some new, or inexperienced customers a little guidance on how to navigate your rabbit warren. Went to the store in orleans met with sales person she said I was getting the ex closest in the window and when they put them in they were the worst looking cheap closet I ever saw. I had very hard time finding all these people that took my money for wrong cupboards they No longer work there which is lies then when I did find someone he was the most ignorant person I ever met ,then they wanted more money for the cupboard. I just called their Queensway location for a quote for a long-term rental (8months-12 months) for 10X10 and 10X12 units. They offer free movers and free trucks -when I asked about the process they follow to make your our items will be moved and stored with care and safety- I was told not to worry about it and that their moving department takes care of that. I requested to speak to someone in the moving department and I was told NO- unless I purchase the unit only then the head of the moving department will call me to answer any questions I have. I respectfully explained to the gentleman that I prefer to have all of my questions answered before I book and pay for the unit- and I was told NO. I told him that I don't feel comfortable paying for something without getting all the details but that didn't bother him. If as a business, you can't answer basic customers' questions to their satisfaction and are willing to lose approx. $300+revenue per month for 1 year- then I can only imagine the experience I would have in the future. What are you hiding that you can't help answer basic move questions? Poor Customer Service- I rather pay more for a better customer experience! read more

My husband and I rented a 5 x 10 unit from Dymon on Carling Ave in July 2019 for one year. A month after having our things in storage we were offered to have our things moved to the new Dymon location at Lincoln Fields and we would get two months of free storage and we would not have do anything to move and that the company would do it all for us. We agreed and were assured by the Dymon staff that the movers were bondable and very professional. Well, we were mortified when we went to check out our new unit after the move to find an absolute mess in the storage unit and our 6-month old stove was stored on top of our 6-month old fridge. The fridge had a big long scratch down the side and multiple dents and scratches on the front and the stove had multiple scratches also. Needless to say we put a claim in and were told that they would see about getting the appliances fixed ASAP. This issue took a year to resolve with monthly visits to the company and multiple phone calls and emails on my husbands part to the manager. Most of the time his phone calls were not answered and voicemails not returned and same with his emails. We finally got this settled a year later but the lack of professionalism with this company was very frustrating and stressful. I would NOT recommend this company, especially with trying to deal with anyone, as they are very incompetent and not trustworthy. read more

I have had a unit with them since April 2014. In June 2014, I changed to a smaller one. I have been in and out many times. I pay 62$ a month - and am current. I went tonight and found my unit EMPTY... no Persian rugs, no photos or memorials of late husband, nor photo albums of our life together, no wedding dress, no artwork, no crystal glasses, no good porcelain, no clothes, no antiques/artifacts. No explanation - just a promise to review the video tapes to see if they can find out where they put or sold my stuff. They didn't have my name registered to this unit - but to an earlier one. So ....??? where is my stuff? What have they done with it? I assume they made an error, couldn't figure out who was the owner of the unit - even though I am billed every month for my unit - so emptied the unit and threw away all my stuff, or sold it. The manager said he would review the security tapes (last time I was in it was September 2014. Today is April 1st, 2015. So .. sounds like he thinks an error has been committed too. NOW WHAT???? How to replace priceless videos and photos and memory books made after funeral of my first husband. Kids will be heartbroken. Also persian rug, and other art. Not sure what to think or say... shocking though - to go tonight to pick up the rug to find the unit COMPLETELY EMPTY.. and no one knowing where my stuff is... read more

I rented a 10x10 storage unit from Dymon for 3 years. A water sprinkler pipe burst on our floor and flooded my unit causing water damage on many items in the unit. Dymon was good to deal with initially with disposing of the items and compensating me monetarily from their insurers. Seven pieces of art I had in the unit were water damaged and were to be sent to an art restorer. Dymon lost my tableaus on the premises and they remained lost for one year until they were found in a long forgotten storage location. They were only then sent for restoration one year later. It took several follow-up calls to find that my art once again went missing. The restorer said it was restored and delivered to Dymon while Dymon did not acknowledge receipt of the art. Dymon compensated me for a family heirloom piece at that time, but WOULD NOT compensate me for the rest of the lost art valued at approximately $4,000.00 stating that it was goodwill on their part to replace the family heirloom, but their insurance policy does not compensate for "loss". They stated therefore that they were under no obligation to compensate and would under no circumstances compensate me for my now "loss". DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY UNLESS YOU PAY FOR EXTRA INSURANCE TO COVER YOUR ITEMS IN STORAGE. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. read more
