Found this pub in Old Town Stockholm when we went to watch some weekend football matches (European…read morenot American). The pub itself had a good vibe where everyone was friendly and genuinely enjoying themselves. The decor of the pub was a lot of a lot of pub signs and usual things that you would find in a pub. It has a small but pretty cool layout when you could go down some winding stairs and find yourself in another seating area. Because of the pubs popularity and game time it was very packed in the bar area but the bar tender did a good job of attending to everyone. As for the food I enjoyed the fries we had and the vegan burger was alright. As you know my ratings go off of the expectations of how the place rates against similar places so as old school pubs go this was good, but do understand that typical old school pubs aren't well lit, don't have all balanced tables, and great seating in the entire place to enjoy the game. So if you're looking for those things you might want to check out some other places.

The beer is an ok price and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Lots of locals keep the atmosphere cozy as well. The food is where it went awry. I really enjoyed the grilled vegetables on my plate but the tuna steak was horribly overcooked. It wasn't seasoned well either, so it was very unpleasant to eat. I also didn't get a picture of my plate because it was messy. Someone I was with got a pulled pork burger and the patty looked like it was made hours ago and just sat in the heat. I definitely don't think the food was worth it. For drinks and sports, though, give it a shot!

I have been quite happy with the burgers served there. Made with a substantial patty of good quality beef, cooked nicely, and too much other stuff (though not bad stuff) piled on. The fries are the same frozen ones that seem ubiquitous in Stockhom. Better quality, thin crispy fries would boost up the experience a notch. This problem is general, not Dick Turpin's alone. I don't get it. Maybe it's a lack of availability of the right type of potatoes- large "baking" potatoes- the ones with the drier crumbly texture. The fish and chips is also good, although it has been a little greasy on one or two occasions. Two large fillets of Cod fried in classic English batter, usually done just about right- crisp golden batter coating on the outside, perfectly cooked fish on the inside. Overall, a nice neighbourhood English style pub with good food and beer and friendly service at fair prices. A ten minute walk from home, so very convenient. I feel fortunate that it's around. Tudor Arms is the oldest English pub in Stockholm (and perhaps in Sweden). In a sense it feels like…read morestepping into a pub in England but it would probably be more accurate to say that it feels like stepping into a pub England the way they used to be. Nowadays many pubs in England have gone downhill and lack charm. Tudor Arms definitely have charm and the food is pretty decent as well. I actually prefer the food that they have for lunch, in the evenings the menu is ok but I do expect better for dinner and I often feel that the lunch is better here. The selection of beer is actually a bit disappointing since nowadays so many bars and pubs have better selections. It is however still possible to find something to my liking and the atmosphere is great.

The Tudor Arms is very popular when there is sports on (especially the English teams) and it packed with a mix of Swedes, English and people from all over the world. The do serve food (although I have not tried it yet) and bar snacks (crisps, chill nuts) and a mix of Swedish and imported beers. The interior is just like a British pub, lows of wood, low ceiling and a good ambience. A great for tourists, expats and locals looking for somewhere to drink with real character.
