Well, this is a British pub in Sweden. You can't get any closer to Britain than fish and chip suppers and London Pride Ale. The atmosphere was well, let's just say, interesting. It looked like Santa had thrown up throughout the pub as the decor took Christmas celebration to an extreme. I believe that I saw thousands of boxes hung to the ceiling and garland on every possible surface. They had even forsaken the art on the wall to wrap them in wrapping paper.
While this pub may mimic Weatherspoons intensely, the prices are far off. We paid 6£/pint, which even for London prices (which I had thought were bad) were bad. However, I know mates that have paid 8£/pint in Stockholm (land of expensive drinks)!! Therefore, considering what we could have paid elsewhere the price wasn't so bad.
Otherwise, the atmosphere was decent and we were able to get a table and have a nice chat. It kicked our evening off to a nice start and the bar staff spoke some English.
I wouldn't necessarily rush back here, but if it was there and I wanted a drink I also wouldn't refuse a visit! read more
