Found this pub in Old Town Stockholm when we went to watch some weekend football matches (European…read morenot American). The pub itself had a good vibe where everyone was friendly and genuinely enjoying themselves. The decor of the pub was a lot of a lot of pub signs and usual things that you would find in a pub. It has a small but pretty cool layout when you could go down some winding stairs and find yourself in another seating area. Because of the pubs popularity and game time it was very packed in the bar area but the bar tender did a good job of attending to everyone. As for the food I enjoyed the fries we had and the vegan burger was alright. As you know my ratings go off of the expectations of how the place rates against similar places so as old school pubs go this was good, but do understand that typical old school pubs aren't well lit, don't have all balanced tables, and great seating in the entire place to enjoy the game. So if you're looking for those things you might want to check out some other places.

O'Learys is a Swedish franchise restaurant chain with the concept of American sports bar and restaurant. They are over more than one floor, and you can access the other floor through the Mall of Scandanavia, in which it is located in, in a town called Solna, in the outskirts of Stockholm. I approached the bar area - there was a table stating they were cashless - which is a growing theme in Stockholm. After waiting for a few minutes shouting "hello" "hello" no one seemed to be there - I know they were serving people downstairs as they had tables and a bar area and of course a stand typically places would have before sitting someone down - Nevermind bad service this is no service. The place also seemed to lack authenticity, I get during the international break for football there isn't much on but instead of showing a real game or a classic game from the past they ended up showing a game which was two weeks old as if it was real - surely anything other even a sports news channel would be better than and old, unremarkable game from the end of August? Really bad service for what I'm finding out is a chain which lacks the authenticity they claim to have. 1*

Had to get up and get utensils myself, Servera didn't even bother bringing these.. even though I asked for them?! Didn't even have parsley or the lemon as said on the menu. When questioning why the served food isn't the same as the menu provided the reason was "game day menu", Ehm well we ordered the said items from that game day menu. We even told the servers that we wouldn't eat this food and they could send it back to the kitchen. They offered to make another for us, but in honesty.. a half empty restaurant with that many staff members running around and taking over 40 minutes to be served the first time we declined. Best part.. the staff actually had the nerve to try to charge us for the food we sent back! I mean what the actual F*CK?! You serve something that was unacceptable and we send it back with the server and decline having it remade and you expect us to actually pay for it? Server goes back to the register, comes back with a discounted price on the receipt instead. Now why on earth would I want a discount for something I haven't even eaten, something I specifically asked to be sent back?! Not even the "manager" took it upon herself to have the conversation with us she actually avoided the issue! We told our servers over and over again that we are not mad at them or have an issue with them serving us. But paying for something that we even sent back? Yeah how about.. NO! The food wasn't even removed from the table.. was just left sitting there throughout our duration sitting there waiting to pay for our sodas, which in all honesty is amazing to have been charged for.

It was quite difficult to get service if you weren't standing right at the bar. I noticed that even a PBR was 900 sec. Most of the beers were quite expensive. I'm from America and PBR is the cheapest lowest quality beer. You could possibly buy. A 16 ounce tall boy is about three dollars in most clubs and five at a high-end club. Other than that a good time was had by all. I can always count on some interesting music when I go t Stampen. I was pleasantly surprised to see traditional country music . It's nice to see that they don't have any of that modern country bullshit and they stick to traditional country music bands that play music with substance . We came on a Friday late afternoon around 5pm and most tables were taken but there was plenty of space to stand. The jazz band was already playing and the vibes were chill and festive. We ordered a couple drinks at the bar, I loved the revolver, my partner got the "something" collins drink and it was fantastic, really smooth and easy to drink. The bartenders were great, really quick to take our order and make the drinks. All in all a great little spot to hangout! But, if they decided to give it a good dusting I wouldn't stop them, hah!
