I have been in this store several times, and always had good customer service, clean store etc. Today, there was only one customer at the register when we walked in, and saw a shorter, rounded gentleman (Ernie?), who we have had before. Said hello, how are you? He just said, what is it that we can do, in a tone that was a bit rude. Said just looking for some polos and he pointed us in the direction, we saw the sale price and said, we will get two, as they were 2 for $24.00+ that is what the sign said, but if you bought one, it was $40. So we got the two. We were there buying it for a friend as a gift. Saw a color we thought would be great, but couldn't reach it. No one was around (although at least 3 were working in the store) so tried to get it ourselves. Well, the same gentleman, who we were greeted with a lack of enthusiasm, was very aggravated that we were doing that, and said it wasn't the same polo. Said sorry didn't know and he went off. A few moments later, he sent another gentleman, more slender and very nice, and said he was sent as he said the 'other person' was busy. He got us another option and proceeded to the dressing room. We saw the same rounded and rude person, just fixing clothes and no customers to be had. It was obvious he didn't want to help us, and the moment we walked in was like, "what to you want" attitude.
Then got to the register, purchased both polos, only to find out, they were the $34 ones (each) and not the sale price we were quoted by, we believe his name was, 'Ernie'. I just said, we'll take them anyway. The other employee was also welcoming and he didn't wait on us but acknowledged us. Ironically the two normal-sized (meaning not oversized or XL) employees had the best customer service skills.
Was disappointed to say the least, and in the past few months, friends of ours had similar experiences. For a great product, and we are loyal customers, to be treated like that, was disappointing. Not going there anytime soon. read more
