Over all pretty good, but I'm avoiding it in the future due to the pushy, scammy skincare kiosk that screws people out of thousands of dollars. Their pitch didn't work on me, but I'm turned off enough to just shop online instead of going to this mall again unless they get rid of the scammers and make a public statement on how they're going to prevent that kind of thing in the future. read more

This is the largest indoor mall in South Dakota operates by Simon Malls. It is ver nicely updated and they keep the space full. Unlike other malls in the US, this place is thriving. Too many stores to count. You can find whatever you need here. read more

The Jacky's in the food court aren't ready for customers.. us and other people stood there for probably close to 15-20 minutes and they just would stare out the window and not come out to help bc they were on their lunch break. I understand your workers need to have a lunch but there's 3 of them working have one take a lunch and have the other 2 work. Mall security came down and the girl came out wiping off the sign and have attitude and argued with the Mall security. Very poor service. read more

Used to love this mall , back in the day . About 15 years ago I used to come into shop and get what I wanted and was immediately helped . But now they cloud care less . Most sorted here have little to no staff . I used it even be able to come here alone or do my shopping for the month . Spend about a few thousand , and my helpers would load up the van and we'd go all the way back home .. now you can't even get some one to put toilet paper on the bathrooms .. there's no such thing as customer service anymore read more

I was once told that the Empire Mall is the number one tourist attraction in South Dakota, more people visit the Empire Mall than Mount Rushmore. If you are passing through town, and have some time to kill, the Empire Mall is a pretty good spot to go. I would guess the mall has over 100 stores, and a couple dozen places to eat. Nothing sticks out as a "must see" but I don't think you would be disappointed in the selection of stores and products. read more

Went here just to look around when my son was in the hospital here. I have seen some very big malls in my day. From the 4 to 5 story ones in Dallas to the really huge one in Minneapolis. This one would rank right in there with the big ones. I used my gps and did a mall walk It was 2.2 miles from the main entrance back to the main entrance. Now that's big and this was all on one floor. This mall has a Macy's and all of the stores we have in Ca. The only one they don't have is a Brookstone. :( read more

For it being a smaller mall than I'm used to it's ok, they have all of the necessities. The mall is normally clean and the food court is pretty good. They have a selection of salons both hair and nails which is convenient. read more

I enjoyed this mall growing up and it seems the older I get the more I stay away. I mean let's face it, people who write yelp reviews of the mall are probably not their targeted demographic. I will say that this is a pretty nice mall for the area. I have been to similar sized cities with much worse so we should be thankful we have what we have. This isn't a great place for someone likes their own space and avoids people; however it's nice to have the selection and ability to buy gifts and go somewhere new. The food court is really nice and the mall just went through a renovation so it looks very nice. If there was anything I would like it would be more stores for people over the age is 16. Again, I get it, demographics and all. All in all a petty nice place to be. read more

I went on a Friday and it was the quietest mall I've ever been to which was actually nice considering I'm from CA and there's so many people, I can never find my size in clothing. According to my b/f, this is the "biggest one story mall between the 2 mountains..." huh? It was a pretty standard mall. Clean, lots of different shops but a little bit confusing to walk around since it kind of goes in circles. I didn't end up buying anything but it was still a nice place to look around. Pretty basic mall, all the things you'd find at a normal mall without a lot of specially shop's. Same ole same ole, Hot Topic, Zummies, Old Navy ect... Also a kids play area with no hand sanitized. read more

I've always liked coming to the Empire Mall. A lot of variety with plenty of parking. They recently did a face lift which gave it a more modem feel. There are a lot of new stores with many of them being higher quality stores. There is plenty to choose from in food court to eat with Red Robin coming soon that will even add to it. read more

We went here to meet my mother and father in law for lunch with our kids. Living in the Omaha area and them living in South Dakota, this is a great spot to meet in between to have lunch visit and do some shopping. We had a great lunch at Charley's. They were fast and friendly, Charley's subs are consistently made wherever you go and always good. Mall seems to have been recently renovated. Has a nice variety of offerings in the food court. Nice layout, and actually fairly busy for a Sunday in the summertime. Restrooms were well kept and clean. There's quite a variety of stores. Mall is a decent size, with something to offer everyone in my opinion. read more

A real gem of a mall in the middle of Sioux Falls. They have a great food court and lots of shops - Ann Taylor Loft, Abercrombie, Macy's, etc. Honestly, I didn't expect much since it's not a huge city (albeit the largest in SD), but it was really great. read more

Just last year when I went to this mall it was SO bare bones. A lot of the stores had closed up shop with nothing to replace them. Not to mention all you saw was the same ol' stuff that was around 10 years ago. Maybe I just noticed but their store selection has really improved. They've gotten in quite a few new stores that are great additions. I also really like that almost all the stores are quite large and have wide selections. Their Gap even has a body section! A middle of the road mall. For a metro area of about 240,000 in a rural state it is ok, but lacks the selection of certain brands that can be found in similar sized cities outside of the Midwest. It has a Macys, Younkers, Coach store, Victorias Secret, Jos A Bank, gap, Banana Republic, Bath and Body, Limited, Journeys, Penneys, Sears, etc. The Macys and Younkers could stand some updating and upgrading of merchandise due to a gradual demographic change in the area, such as MAC cosmetics, shoe departments in Younkers and Macy's need more stylish shoes fdor men and women, but I guess they want to stay on the conservative side for now. Decent sized mall, just needs to add a little more fashion forwardness to it's merchandise selection in the major dept stores. read more

This is the best and biggest in SD. They have done great job in remodeling and making it a premier place to shop. Lots of stores you'll find anything you're looking for. If you're just needing a walk it's also great to stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere and music. Definitely a must stop shop when your in the Sioux Falls area. read more

I live an hour and a half away, but don't mind taking the time to drive to The Empire Mall, because with over 180 stores, there is plenty to choose from. I love the newer stores, such as Soma, Sephora, and White House Black Market. I wish Bebe was an option, but I have to remember this is not the Mall of America and there are many other options available. When I visit, the mall isn't usually overcrowded, it is clean, and the staff are willing to answer questions. The food court, kids play area, and game room are all added bonuses. read more
