I am so disappointed in this store. The furniture is lovely but the delivery dates never seem to be accurate and you'll be waiting weeks and weeks or months like me for your order! read more

Whilst searching for the best mattress ever I came across Dreams plc. decided to give it a try and still with back pains we went there. The store is huge, and they have over 50 beds to give a swift try to. You know after a few seconds if the mattress is right for you or not. The salesman was not amazing, but he was honest, or at least I believed him. Of course, he begun by trying to sell me something on the top end of my budget but I sort of just went along with it and found that something in my mid range suited me best. It was about £200 for a double mattress, orthopedic single wrapped spring. It has done wonders for my back and for my sleep. Delivered promptly the next day by 1pm, when I had bought it the night before at 8pm.

The shop's owner, a very chill guy, met all my questions about shipping, furniture care, and the like with friendliness and patience. (Would that I owned a truck, his shop would be empty from all the purchases I'd make!) There were some lovely teak nesting tables, a night stand, a dressing table, many groovy chairs, and dressers that caught my eye. Considering the collectible nature of this type of furniture, I found the prices to be what one would expect. And, really, if you want an Eames chair, then you're going to shell out the bucks for it! There's really no other reason to visit Askew Road, but, if you're in Hammersmith/Acton/Shepherd's Bush, then I'd make the trip! (Bus #266)

It all looks very high end and would make for a dream home but unfortunately, when enquiring on the prices of said kitchens, It is well out of my price range. Maybe another day !! Some truly wonderful pieces however and if you can afford it, I would suggest a vist to Mark Zoranovski.

I was not particularly interested in their more traditional kitchens and furniture, what caught my eye was these amazing hand made sculptures/ functional furniture pieces they have on the window display. From far away one of them is a wooden sac perfectly sculpted with a rope tied around the top, when you come closer it is a chest of drawers, nine drawers to be exact. Designers always manage to amaze me when they can create something that is not only functional but it is also aesthetically beautiful.

I really believe that a business can be successful and sustainable. 30% of the wood they use is reclaimed, they visit their wood suppliers to make sure they adhere to certain environmental and ethical standards, and they tell the consumer the 'furniture miles' a piece has travelled to reach the shop. Three small changes that can be make a huge difference. Walking into the shop the smells of oak and mahogany are intoxicatingly delicious, its nature. Not only is the showroom enormous but they also have sales throughout the year for ex-display items, you can grab a good deal (up to 40% off retail price) and have a clear conscious. The furniture speaks for itself, it is pompous, present and beautiful. As their slogan reads 'beautiful furniture should be sustainable' I am all for that!
