Bliss Heating & A/C carries the best ducted central heat pump sold in the US the Bosch Inverter…read more Our trusty old unit sadly gave up the ghost after over 10 years of service, sometimes buried in snow and sometimes in the parching sun. We desired the same technology as in the new mini-splits but we have a ducted system. We found that Bosch meets this expectation as we have been waiting years for one of these that is not prohibitively expensive. Why the US manufacturers can't get with it is beyond me. The Bosch unit actually virtually changes size based on heating or cooling requirement, so it's like having a smaller unit on not so warm or cold days and a larger on colder or hotter, hence very efficient. Most important around here is the Bosch pulls heat out of the air at much lower temps than the conventional units so that the lower cost heat pump heat will be useful at lower temps before the expensive resistive heat strips kick in. We called Bosch and asked for a company in Southern Oregon and they gave us the number to Bliss. Shane does amazing work at an exceptional price and to top it off is a super nice guy. When I asked some of the other companies, they seemed to know little to nothing about these inverter central air units and insisted I buy older technology GE, Goodman, Rheem etc. Shane knew more than the people at Bosch I spoke with and has been installing them since they came out a few years back. He mentioned he would try to come by that evening if he had time. Needless to say, Joey stopped by that evening, diagnosed our problem and discussed the available solutions without trying to upsell anything I didn't actually need. Joey fixed the issue and our system is cooling once again! Without hesitation, I highly recommend Joey and The Heat-N-Air Man company for your HVAC needs!

Charged me $11,000 and was impossible to get on the phone or even have him come out to look at the system. I told him we did not like the system and wanted to put his new everything I said and straight back let me charge those units first. Why would you have to charge a brand new factory charge units in the first place? He is now saying that I'm harassing him because I'm asking for our money back. Be aware he is no good. I really wanted to recommend John and Absolute Comfort but unfortunately I cannot. Around September…read moreof 2018 we had John do a complete install; this included a forced air furnace, ducting, and a gas line. This was a completely new install, prior to this our house only had in-wall electric heaters. We received at least 5 quotes and everybody was within $500 of each other. Besides the difference in the brand of units people would install, John was the only who called me back eager to work. On top of being eager to work he was very personable and Absolute Comfort was a local small business. Our quote was approximately $7500 for the complete install. John got right to work. The install took about a week and things looked great initially when he was done. A couple days after he was finished my furnace starts throwing a code signifying that the heat exchanger is over heating and locked us out. Called John (he was a little hard to get a hold of but it was the busy season) and he said we should replace the sensor but would have to wait for the sensor to arrive. We were going to be gone when he said he would replace it. I gave him a key to let himself in. We came back from our trip and he had not fixed the unit. We had to wait a few more days. Not a big deal but he should have let us known that he was unable to fix it when he told us. Sensor was finally replaced. Furnace still acted a little funny but straightened out. This past week we had company and I turned our thermostat up to 68° Mind you we keep our house at 65°. With the extra load on the furnace it threw the same code. The furnace would not run more than 10 minutes without the heat exchanger over heating. Called John, left a message and he still has not called me back. Instead of this being the furnace I began to look closely at his install and started to notice a number of flaws with it. I scoured through the manual and found several things. First off, the intake for the furnace was mounted in the wrong spot. I can over look that, but he didn't notice it when he replaced the sensor or when he initially installed the unit. Second, I looked at the vents and noticed 3 of them had major air leaks letting a large portion of my hot air into the attic. Third, the main air duct (which is solid sheet metal) did not have the seams sealed. Normally you would use duct sealant or even tape at the minimum. Fourth, some of the flexible ducts are at such a sharp angle they are restricting airflow into the room (kind of like kinking a hose). The ducts should have been hung with metal strapping to prevent sharp turns. Lastly, the thermostat is in a bad spot. That area of the house only warms up if the master bedroom is open. The misplacment of the intake and sharp turns in the ducting are what I believe caused the over heating of the heat exchanger. I can overlook some of these flaws, but John was nowhere to be found when I needed him. I don't spend $7500 for a halfway done job that I need to correct myself. I paid that much so I would have a warranty, quality install, and customer service. Absolute Comfort has failed on all 3 points. They may be good for simple repairs, but for expensive installs, look elsewhere folks.

It took a few calls to reach Kolby, but once I talked to him he came out the next day to look at the job to give a quote. It took a few days to get the quote but then he completed the job within a week. That timeframe worked for us since we had not moved in and had other repairs being made. After the job was finished Kolby came out and explained what he did and showed us how to work the shut off valve. He was easy to work with and completed the job as promised. A simple request of what appeared to be a professional company, to paint a portion of my cabin in…read moreChiloquin, as I couldnt do it myself due to health issues. The bid was given and the work agreed to, with timing of the job to be completed prior to my knee replacement surgery the following week. The rest was a nightmare. What should have been an organized, professional paint, taking three days, ended up taking almost three weeks, with an unprofessional finish that did not match the original cabin stain. The "crew" showed up originally without sanders, caulk, or scrapers and did a terrible job of "prep", which I called them on, as I was onsite. Over the period of the next few weeks I had to personally manage their crew remotely, while dealing with post-surgery issues, with directions of how to actually do the work. They had zero supervision from their company. At no point did Mike come back to the cabin to actually check on the crews work, yet was adament it was done correctly. My husband drove down from Bend and took 40+ pics of the "finished" job as I was unable to travel after surgery. To make matters even worse, the daily, repeated, requests for final payment started that day, long before the job was inspected or finished. At that point I finally got Mike to travel to the cabin and see for himself what it looked like. He called me and told me he had fired his crew for their terrible work, and would send another to finish the job correctly. They did then, at the very least, applied the stain properly. I am left with a cabin that has two distinct colors and finishes (after multiple discussions regarding stain match) with wierd stop and start lines that don't meld, and shoddy prep work. Nothing about it is professional! A job I paid dearly for that wont last 2 years. I had to continually hear how they were not making any money on it as they had to travel everyday. So the long and the short is this. They talk a good talk but don't walk the walk. Value of this project: 0
