We are in the process of remodeling, and knew we had a short (but unpredictable) window of time for hanging wallpaper on one wall in our powder room. We reached out to Dan, who said that since it was a smaller job, he'd do his best to fit us in. All we could do was give him was a general window of availability, and hope it all worked out. We contacted Dan the minute our walls were ready, and literally 12 hours later he had already hung the wallpaper. He was efficient, on time, a great communicator, and did a gorgeous job. He went above and beyond, and we couldn't be more pleased. I wish I had more wallpaper to hang so we could have Dan back! Yay! read more

Dan is so professional and honest, he's even willing to turn down a job if it cannot work out to his standards! Another person put up my wallpaper, which started coming off the wall. I asked Dan to come over to tell me whether it could be repaired or should I start over again. He told the wall would never hold wallpaper well -- too soft-- and I should save my time and money! So grateful to Dan for his professional advice. read more

Dan is the best in the business! In the last few years he has painted my condo twice, installed three types of wallpaper, and painted my parents' condo. Each time, working with him was a joy. He is prompt, reliable, and meticulous. Wallpaper is such a niche specialty, and he is a pro. I highly recommend Dan - you won't regret it! read more

Absolutely excellent professional work. Dan installed wallpaper in our bathroom and we could not be happier with the quality of work he provided. Clean, efficient, and most importantly high quality work. He is precise in his work and insists on it being perfect; he even repainted a small portion of our wall that was adjacent to the wallpaper to make it look just perfect. I recently hired Dan to do a pretty tricky wallpaper project in my condo and I couldn't be more pleased with the job he did and the final result. First of all, he was so quick to answer my original inquiry and he came by for an estimate the next morning. He was always timely to each of our meetings. I truly appreciated how easy it was to schedule the work with Dan; I had a hard time even getting estimates from other companies. Dan stuck by his original quote,--which was considerably less than the other quote I got from another company-- and he even finished faster than anticipated. He worked quickly and cleanly while he was here, and he was super organized. He didn't even break for lunch! The room he papered has a lofted bed, so this project required a lot of up and down the ladder, and hunching over in uncomfortable places. Dan rose to the challenge, though! The entire length of my 14' tall walls match impeccably. And he saved me a great deal of paper, so I can only imagine the pre-planning that goes into executing this project. Long story short, the end result is beautiful! He had to level and prime the walls before applying the paper, and it all looks smooth and even. The seams are practically invisible. Couldn't be happier! Dan is a kind and hardworking person with a great attention to detail and a skilled hand--I highly recommend his work. read more

Dan was incredible to work with! We gave him a huge challenge with hanging a complicated wallpaper design in our attic. He had a positive attitude and was up for the challenge! He came with a mask and was prepared to be as cautious as possible about entering our home during this time. It was such a quick turn around from when we reached out that he was able to get it done a few days later! We are absolutely in love with how it turned out and really impressed with how professional and nice Dan is! I would never hesitate to reach out to him again for any wallpaper needs! Thanks so much Dan - we are so grateful! read more

My first time every using wallpaper in my home and Dan did a great job. He took the time to come and look at the space and wallpaper (side note, I picked a wood base, silver wallpaper with crystals). He even researched the product before taking the job. He came into the house, laid protective covering everywhere and was professional from start to finish. The wallpaper looks amazing. He does exceptional work. Do not hesitate to ask him to do a project for you. You will not be disappointed. read more

Dan completed the use of an Italian wall covering in my powder room and I couldn't be more pleased! I will definitally use Dan again for many reasons... 1. Beautiful workmanship 2. Fast/efficient comunication to obtain a quote, as well as schedule/complete the work 3. Respect for my home (removal of shoes/coverage on furnishings with plastic...etc) 4. Friendly, personable attitude when it came to explaining the process and timeframe, not to mention he worked with me with ease when I accidentally ordered the wrong amount of wall covering and it changed his schedule (all my fault). Thanks Dan! You took the anxiety of the whole project, from hiring the completion. Well done! read more

Dan did a great job at hanging my wall paper. I have an odd-shaped powder room and wanted it covered in Phillip Jeffries grasscloth paper. Dan came over initially to do an estimate. I contacted him shortly thereafter and we set up a time to start work. In about 4 or 5 hours, Dan finished the powder room - it looked great! It's been a couple months now, and everything is still in good shape. Dan also mentioned he does painting and I'm thinking about hiring him for that given his detailed nature. Thanks Dan! read more

Dan did an amazing job installing the wallpaper in my office, TWICE! He installed my visually complex wallpaper pattern flawlessly before I opened my office and when I had some issues that required opening up the wall he came back and rehung paper in the sections that were removed. The wall looks as if nothing happened at all! I couldn't have asked for better service all around. I would recommend him to anyone! read more

If you are as meticulous about details as I am, then you can hire DVL Services with compete confidence. DVL panted my entire house. It had not been painted in 15 years and looked it. DVL made it look new. Dan was patient with my many, many color attempts and questions, He took out every crack, and seemed to do every brush stroke with care. Moreover, he seemed to care as much as I did what the result was perfect. When it comes to painting, the difference is in the prep work. The painting is just the frosting and DVL took perfect care of both. I have had many people working on my house over the years; this is the first time I ever gave one of them a thank you gift. Prices are fair and DVL is wonderful to work with. No one could have done better. read more

I hired Dan to do some tricky wallpapering in my kitchen and bathroom. What impressed me was the fact that Dan was right on time to provide me an estimate and then he kept in touch with me as we worked out a schedule when the work could be done. Dan was again prompt arriving at the time he said he would. He was meticulous in preparing the walls and making sure everything was perfect before he started. He finished the job and cleaned up. The wallpaper looks amazing. You can see where he repeated the pattern at all. Dan was professional, friendly and had a good sense of humor at all times. I certainly recommend DVL and Dan for any wallpaper work that you may need. read more

Dan was quick to respond for a quote request. The work was to patch and paint 4 holes (about 1 foot by 1 foot each) in my drywall ceiling. We agreed to a price and date/time. He showed up exactly on time and was able to get the work done in about 5 hours. He covered up surrounding areas with plastic to minimize any dust or paint. The completed work looks seamless as if there was never a hole to begin with. Would definitely recommend. read more

DVL (Dan) wall papered two bathrooms and did a superb job. His request for a quote after a site visit was very prompt. Also, his quote was far below that of others I requested. He arrived promptly at 8 am and stayed until 5 each day. I was impressed he covered in plastic all areas where he was working, and he left the work area each day totally clean before he left. Dan is a very nice and courteous person who works diligently and professionally to get the job done. I would definitely use Dan's services again in the future. Dan at DVL Services is professional, courteous, prompt, friendly, and made this experience overall so wonderful. He has great customer service and is very prompt when replying to phone calls and emails.I had spoken to other contractors prior to being contacted by DVL Services and no one would take the job due to the possible liability with the type of wallpaper that I needed to be hung. Dan said he had experience with flock (textured) wallpaper and boy did he do a phenomenal job! I was telling Dan about other projects we are doing in our house and won't hesitate to contact him for future jobs or give his contact info for a referral to someone I know. This was a surprise for my boyfriend and Dan knocked it out of the park, by working with me on the arrival time to my house, getting the wall completed in very timely manner, and the finished product is flawless. Thanks again Dan at DVL Home Services, you offer fantastic services! read more

We were looking for someone who would correct the imperfections of a recent remodel project. After carefully reading reviews for Painters on YELP, we chose DVL Home Services. From the moment I met Dan I knew we were in good hands. Dan explained what the process would entail, how long it would take, and fully wants to please the customer. The room included a ledgestone fireplace which has jagged rock edges. Dan finished these edges to perfection. Payment for this detailed project was well within reason. We highly recommend DVL Home Services and will definitely call Dan for all future painting projects. read more

We couldn't be more delighted with DVL Home Services. Prior to Dan, we had used another contractor to take care of work on our high drywall ceiling in our spacious Great Room. Moisture had gotten into our drywall after a roof repair, causing buckling and discoloring. The other contractor had tried twice to fix the problem, only to have it reappear. Dan arrived precisely on time, quickly assessed the challenge, ascertained that the drywall was in good shape, and explained clearly to us what he intended to do...and why. He showed up precisely at the agreed-upon time, covered our belongings to minimize dust, and put in two full 8-hour days, taking care of the problem and making everything look as good as new. His work ethic was wonderful and the work is just pristine. You KNOW you've found a good contractor when he tells you to check around with other contractors before hiring him. He's confident in the quality of his work as well he should be. Yelp readers should hire Dan without qualms. He has restored my faith in the contracting profession! read more

Dan is amazing. He has done work for me personally (expertly hanging grasscloth wallpaper in a guest bedroom.) He has done painting for my design business clients. He has even tackled the common areas of the condo building I live in on behalf of our Association. His work is exact and meticulous. His attention to detail is inspiring. It even shows in how he sets up -- and then cleans up -- his work area at the start and end of the day. An amazing guy and a delight to work with. Highly, highly recommend him!! read more

We called Dan to help us install our self-adhesive removable wallpaper which had a very intricate pattern. he was able to get it done a week after we spoke on the phone in one day. he did a fantastic job- very professional. the pattern lined up perfectly! the price was higher than i expected, but i did give him the wrong wall measurement. still, the price was worth it being done right, especially since the wall paper rolls are expensive and any mistake would have probably required me to order another roll. he was able to finish the wall with some leftover paper in case we need to replace a panel in the future. thanks Dan! read more
