It is one of the few food options in the town of Thrall apart from its neighbor, Dollar General a short walk away. Once inside, you'll find a very modern up-to-date convenient store with numerous offerings, including fried chicken and pizza. You'll find clean and modern bathrooms along with an ATM. They also have some hot wings and chicken tenders that you can purchase and even dine in at one of several tables inside. You can also purchase firewood and propane tanks at this location. The owner is always abrupt and unfriendly to cyclists, but will still try to rip us off for overpriced and often overripe bananas which he always suggests to buy at the checkout. He has a different bowl full of his older fruit which he puts on the counter instead of the regular ones before we walk in, just for cyclists. One time he insisted that my own Oakley sunglasses were from his own display stand and insisted on charging me $9.99 for them! His wife sits on a chair in the middle of the store perfectly positioned to observe people using the fountain drink machine at the back, just to check that you are not "stealing" too much ice for your bike bottles. No free refills here! She reminds me of an elementary school lunchtime monitor who doesn't trust any of the 7 year old kids. The cans of soda that used to be 99cents have gone up to $1.49 then $1.79 since COVID, and nothing has a price marked on it so he can (and does) charge us as high a price as he thinks he can get away with. He knows he has a captive city audience with expensive bikes, too much money and not caring about being ripped off with an attitude, as they keep coming back. Other stores are much cheaper by comparison. Today was the final straw for me. The outside temperature was mid 90s and our group of 20 or so cyclists visited the store for hydration and energy bars etc. I chose one of the few priced items which was a large soda fountain drink for $1.99 as I spend as little as possible here nowadays for obvious reasons. When I went to pay with my debit card, he asked me "Do you have cash?". I didn't and he pointed to a small dog eared sign on the counter that said "Minimum $3 card purchase". He insisted on the new soda price being $3 so I left the drink on the cash desk and started to walk out. He shouted after me to come back and pay for it, at which point I gave him a long overdue piece of my mind, then walked out. My colleagues still in there told me he had a foul mouthed rant, including mother****** about me after I left. The good news is that I am now "banned" from the store so I don't have to put up with this pushy, rude, thieving individual who hates all cyclists (but will gladly take all their money) ever again. Maybe we should all rethink our routes to avoid this place? We are not welcome, trust me.

I was impressed by the modern interior, cleanliness, spacious aisles and the cold beer vault. The store basically sits in a residential neighborhood. If you're in the mood for some fried chicken or pizza they do have a kitchen which serves that up. They do have a small table inside and two more outside in case you'd like to dine there. Their gas prices were reasonable and they also sell propane tanks. This store is definitely worth stopping at and the photos below confirm it.

The gas is reasonably priced, comparable to nearby gas stations. But what really sets the gas station experience apart from the rest: FREE AIR! No more paying upwards of $2 to fill up your tires. We grabbed some icees and donuts- both were delicious. I was surprised with the quality of donut. I was expecting stale and bland but they were soft and tasty! There's several deals on sodas and snacks and clean restrooms. QuikTrip is really a one stop shop!
