I have two words for you: oxtail stew. An outstanding dish at the Dutch Pot; I will get it every time. So tasty and tender; fit even for a toothless person! It completely outshone the other two dishes we tried, goat curry and chicken curry. Sadly, they were out of meat patties by the time we got there after 7pm, so I suggest going earlier if you are craving those. One thing to note: this is largely a carry-out operation. Yes, there are a few tables where you could sit, but the place is not really conducive to in-house dining. The jerk chicken was delicious, and the rice and peas had such a wonderful flavor--though I found the rice a bit firmer than I usually prefer. The portion sizes for the price are fantastic! This used to be one of my favorite food places but after today I will not be back. The service was good but my brown stew fish was terrible. First off it was very small and as I began eating it I immediately noticed that not only wasn't it fresh but overcooked. I can't even eat it. Well to start off i would like to thank the corporate office supervisor that's over the cooks at the different locations at Dutch pot I had a concern about the quality of the food at the pines location. I inform her of my experience at the location as far as taste and quality . I had know intentions to return to the location but she wanted to make things right and that's something I can appreciate so I was told to go back on Saturday I was still apprehensive about going but I ended up going back to speak to the manager in pines upon walking inside the place was clean employees were nice and attentive I expressed to the manager about my last experience the weekend before and I was informed that he heard about my experience and wanted to make it right. From one location to multiple locations now what I admire about the Dutch pot family is they took my concerns seriously and wanted to make it right. The manager at the pines location told me he was expecting me which ment to me the concerns regarding my experience didn't go unnoticed. He provided me with the same dinner no charge all because feed back is important to him and dutch pot family. And with that being said I sat down and opened my container oxtail looked good smelled good and tasted good portion size was good and everything was flavorful this kind of meal is what I think pot dutch pot on the map and made dutch pot what they have become Out of one pot many and to that means not matter what location you eat at the flavor should have dutch pot written all over mouth lol . Every once in a while I have a craving for oatmeal or cornmeal or porridge. It definitely sells out fast so call before you just show up. I was in Florida and someone recommended The Dutch Pot for really good Jamaican food. Since there are no Jamaican food spots near me I love to find some when I travel. Another location was recommended as well, however it was closed due to Covid. I tried to call this location to make sure they were open but the phone number kept saying not in service. Not a good sign. I drove by and sure enough they were open with a line. They were only allowing 5 patrons in at a time and you had to remain 6 feet apart. I ordered the curry chicken for myself and my friend got the bbq chicken mini. Everything was perfect. The temp, seasoning and cooking were absolutely amazing. So I love the Dutch Pot chain. I am from Chicago and visit Fort Lauderdale area quite a bit. Listen, all Dutch Pots are not the same! So the Resturant o went to had more senior, mature cooks, and the service and food was spectacular! Now, I went to other Dutch Pots and it was more younger cooks, and the service was not as good. But one thing is sure, the food is good! I love the portion sizes, abd the flavor of the food! Always a good place to go. Jamaican's seem to be slow with serving, so I feel operationally, they all could do better, but it's serve in love so it's worth the wait! read more

I do not usually eat at chain ethnic spots because I just think the food is watered down but that was not the case here. You can actually taste the coconut milk in the rice, the oxtails were not as tender as they are supposed to be but the flavor was there. The cabbage was delicious as well.
