This is a hidden gem in the city of Cuba, MO. Located along the railroad tracks in the middle of town it doesn't offer quaint views, but the food is amazing. Sometimes you just need a "Sammich" to hit the spot and the ones you can order here hit hard and fast in a very good way. You grab a ticket, fill out what bread/toppings/sides you want; hand the ticket to the lady behind the counter and, while you wait for your sandwich to be made, go off and pick a drink. There's fresh lemonade, a large variety of juices, coffee and tea. You can dine in or take it to go and you can also pick up sweet or savory snacks while you are there. The last time I ordered I had turkey (piled high), swiss, tomato on white bread as well as a bag of chips, a pickle and a coffee for less than $8.00. The bread was fresh, the turkey and cheese delicious and even the coffee was good. Try that at that other sandwich place.....well, I won't go there. Opening hours are 7 - 5:30 Tuesday through Friday, 7 - 3:00 on Saturdays and they are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

They have an area upstairs where you can eat premade food that you purchase there, and enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. Try getting that at any other grocery store. They carry the regular things that you'd expect from a grocery store, but they also have a lot of high end items - seafood, cheeses you'd expect from a specialty store, and some very nice wine selections. Ultimately, it is a grocery store, so they have a wide variety of provisions. No matter how long you're staying in the area, you can find everything you could possibly need for your entire trip. We like to hit a store as soon as we arrive in town to pick up some breakfast options and snacks for our trip, and anything we may have forgotten to pack, and this place is perfect for that.
