This store is probably one of the best priced store in the planet!! The food is deliciously excellent.

RE: COUNTRY MART, CLINTON, MISSOURI…read more In December, 2013 I slipped on a patch of dark ice on the parking lot of Country Mart in Clinton, MO. 2 African American ladies saw me fall. One of the ladies helped me into the store and I met with MR. DANTE PASSANTINO, CO-OWNER. I wanted to write a police report but he told me it was not necessary that he would "take care of me".. I seriously hurt myself and insisted they write a store report of the incident and give me a copy. They wrote the report but refused giving me a copy. I was in pain and needed to get home to rest.. At the time, I was almost 73 and he told me his father fell at about the same age and was never the same until he died 5 years later. He told me to keep in touch with him. In February, 2014 I sent a letter to engage with him to somehow make some effort to resolve my fall. It fell on deft ears. I never heard back from him. Now I am 76 and my shoulder and left hip and leg have serious problems. I can barely lift my left arm, that was used to brace my fall. And my groin was strained when I slipped on the ice and twisted my ankle. I am a retired, disabled Veteran and Mr. Passantino is not a person of his word. He is not a good person. This is how Passantino treated me, an elderly, retired disabled Veteran. What kind of person would treat me like that? If anyone would like to respond to me, kindly write me at 2014domrep@gmail.com. I would like to hear from you. God bless anyone who responds. Robert F. Kuhlmann USAF RETIRED Disabled Veteran

Since writing this review, I have moved to another state. Upon returning for a visit I discovered…read moreParker's has been purchased by an out-of-town owner. It is now called Wood's. The pharmacy and grocery staff seem to be mostly the same people, but I cannot state how well the store is now run. What I wrote previously: Number one - Parker's is the only locally owned grocery and pharmacy in Warrensburg. The owners are active in their community, doing their best to benefit the area. I support locally owned businesses if I can justify doing so. Parker's has earned my loyalty. The prices are not always the lowest; they may not always be favorably compared to prices at WalMart and BiLo and Aldi's. However, they work hard to cover all the basics and then add carefully selected additional items they know their townspeople want. Watch for sales, as usual. Heck, if you ask about any specific item you cannot locate, they find a way to begin stocking it. Their produce is likely obtained from the same sources other area grocers use, but they must be choosing the higher quality. I have never gotten inferior quality from them and I have from other places in town. I can almost guarantee they would bend over backwards to make things right if ever I was dissatisfied. They have real butchers who will cut as you desire or grind things up as you desire and probably can do more than I've thought of asking for! If a checkout line is more than 2 customers long they call for reinforcements! You cannot find THAT at the other markets. They own their own pharmacy too. You get personalized attention from a very highly qualified staff. Big ticket help in a small town is a great combination. Just about any discounts you would receive at the "big boys" of pharmacy can also be found at Parkers; they are extremely competitive. On top of all that, they have packed a tremendous amount of variety and standards into their cozy alcoholic beverage section. You will find the usual liquors, wine and beer, plus many specialty local offerings. Parker's is a great resource for local wines as well as regional wines from other countries. They also carry a very diverse selection of micro-brewed finds, many of which can be purchased as individual components to a "build your own 6-pack". That is rare in a town this small. To summarize, Parker's can satisfy your needs while making you feel appreciated. They seem to work hard at making you feel they want your business. The Julie person
