I was waiting in the store to get a smoothie with a friend but she hadn't arrived yet because she…read morewas on a date so I was expecting her to be a few minutes late. I had been there 5 minutes when this busy-body black lady who I'm guessing is the manager/owner comes in and sees me sitting and waiting and then proceeds to tell what my in purpose in being there. After I told her that I was waiting for a friend to arrive she tells me that I have to order a smoothie right away or I would have to wait outside until the exact moment that I was gonna order a smoothie and then I could go inside. It's 34 degrees outside! I am extremely unimpressed with my first experience here I had heard good things about and wanted to try them out. If I could give zero stars I would. I would advise any and all that want to come visit to go to Tropical Smoothie if this is how Smoothie King treats their customers. Edit: So after waiting I go back in to get a smoothie and the lady sends in her husband to tell me that he doesn't think I'm actually here to get a smoothie but to "talk" to his staff. Who only helping me by explaining things to me that I didn't understand. After badgering me for several minutes about my real reason for my presence in the store I was granted permission to buy a smoothie which I regretfully did as he sat down and watched me so until I left. This has been the worst experience that I've ever had at any establishment of any kind. The blatant disrespect and prejudice that was shown to me should be a cautionary tale to all that that think they want to come here

I most frequently order the same three flavors at any ice cream establishment: Banana, Buckeye/Peanut Butter, and Birthday Cake. The Buckeye/Peanut Butter was mostly vanilla, super disappointed, but appreciate the fact it's homemade ice cream, so every scoop is different. The banana is fake! Don't even waste your time on a scoop of banana unless you bring your own to mix into a vanilla, if you are as obsessed with banana ice cream as I am. The birthday cake was decent, but not the best I've had. The ratio of icing to ice cream was fantastic, I will admit. The times that I've come here, the service was up to standard. The staff were kind. The ambiance is fast casual, you can sit and eat your ice cream at a quick table or go through the drive thru. The servings are decently sized for the price. The ice cream is creamy and airy but makes you feel so full after!
