Being quite a newbie to Dutchbro, I am so in love with the fun and distinctive concept. Even the menu offers plenty of stuffs that are so different to the close competitor coffee-chain #IYKYK. The idea of their secret latte which is basically different combo of syrups for me is totally out of the box! Being so intrigued, I tried out the one in USC. Unfortunately the app pre-order seemed to not work at particular hour so bummer on convenience. Luckily, despite having quite a line, their idea of having multiple servers assisting order placement through the line makes the ordering process going much faster. I went for their Shenanigans secret latte, basically latte with hazelnut and Irish cream syrup. For chain coffee shop, the coffee itself was decent, but sadly I could subtly taste the syrup flavors. read more

Ordered ahead got there a few minutes after order was supposed to be ready. There were 4 other people who gave their name and no one's order was ready. The guy that walked through the gate just before me placed an order at the window and wouldn't you know it, his drink was ready before mines. My estimated time for my drink to be ready was 6:01 am, it was ready at 6:10 am. The order ahead system should be adjusted based on more actual ready times not when DB expects them to be ready. Mornings are crucial for some people as they are stopping by on their way to work, if an order is ready almost 10 minutes after it should be ordered, that's a problem. I also want to note that no one comes to the window to acknowledge you, even if the drink is not ready they ignore you, I'm guessing that's why the mirror is there so that they can see that they have a customer while their back is turned. They just leave us standing there every time no matter how many people are working on orders or stocking the shelves. You can see from my picture there's also a dolly in front of the window so it's actually confusing standing there being ignored and the window is blocked, it makes you wonder if you will receive service at this window. Day after Mother's Day and they're asking if we want Mother's Day stickers. Really???? I ordered a hot drink and they always double it. It does not stop the cup from being hot, it only delays the hotness from seeping through the cups. As I walk away I'm fine, but by the time I reach my car the drink is too hot to hold. Words cannot describe how EXCITED I was when I found that there's a Dutch Bros opening in LA!! Most Dutch Bros around America are all drive through but this one is surprisingly walk up only. Parking is a nightmare as most of DTLA is, but I just realized that they have 45 minute free parking in the garage nearby so I'll have to try that out next time. The line is always pretty long, and be prepared to wait a while after ordering. The employees are always so kind and have great energy! Even though the wait time is pretty long their service makes my experience enjoyable. I got the seasonal Hazelnut Mocha every time I've gone to this location so far and it was amazing every time, as Dutch Bros always is. They also now serve food! Stopped by Dutch Bros and tried their peppermint mocha. The flavor was good and definitely festive, but it was a *tad too sweet* for my personal taste. If you love sweeter drinks, this one's probably right up your alley. Even though the line was pretty long, I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently the staff moved things along. Everyone was also super polite and friendly, which made the wait feel much shorter. Stopped by the new location by USC! due to the location being directly across from campus, come at least 30-45mins before you need to be somewhere because it gets busy with students. When I arrived, it was busy but the line was moving fast. There are workers there to greet you and take your order on an iPad and get you through. They have a pickup window for orders made in line then a pick up ahead line as well. (Best option if you're in a hurry) staff were helpful and welcoming! I ordered their holiday drink a jinglenog latte with banana soft top. Their egg nog lattes are so delicious and creamy. Nothing artificial at all! Drink came to about $7 and I tipped as well. Dutch has so many drink options and varieties that there is no way to not find something to fit your preferences. There is no seating so grab your drink and go. I am disappointed to leave a bad review..I was looking forward to enjoying them and I was eager for them to open. Went in on a Sunday. I ordered the iced banana split latte large with oat and a medium peppermint mocha. Everyone was friendly and drinks came out quick. I went home and took a sip and realized their flaw. They forgot to add any flavor to my drink. I basically got a milky flavorless latte which reminds me why I don't do Starbucks. I will stick with Phillz, Alfred's, Peet's. Parking is too chaotic most times in that pocket close to USC and my very first experience with them was met with disappointment. This is a very very busy location. There is no drive through only walk up. Parking is terrible. Signage is terrible as well. When I used the app and ordered my two drinks, the app said that they would be ready in 20 minutes. It turned out to be closer to an hour. They were very apologetic to everyone about the long wait but at that point it was a moot point. No organization to the lines. One cashier told everyone to stand to the side after they checked in. 5 minutes later they switched cashier's and he wanted everyone to get in another line. Certainly a new edition to the beverage world locally. Amidst coffee houses and boba establishments, Dutch Bros offers non-coffee energy drinks and H2O drinks with a myriad of flavors and unique combinations. They also offer some limited snack and breakfast offerings. Maybe we just got tired of the same old lattes from Seattle branded coffee houses or it is just different for the taste buds, but Dutch Bros is certainly popular and wildly busy. They have many locations in the OC and this is just one of a few locations in LA. The customer service and positive attitude by the servers is also a break from mediocre customer service that we've come to accept nowadays. I have not had a bad experience visiting this location. It's a walk up location and you can order in advance on their proprietary phone app (recommended). read more

I've heard of Dutch Bros for at least a year. I waited for the USC location to open up because I didn't want to drive 20 miles for coffee. I used to drink coffee every day but I realized I was spending almost $300 a month on coffee in my credit card bills. I bought caffeine pills for my fix in the morning instead. Once in awhile I'll go to Starbucks or Dunkin. I usually get iced coffee, even in the winter. Today I finally tried Dutch Bros and I got the sugar free annihilator iced coffee medium. Annihilator is a chocolate macadamia nut flavor at Dutch Bros. I had excellent customer service from a beautiful white girl at the register. The drink itself had a weird aftertaste. I'm guessing it was the sugar free syrup. I can tell that the regular sugar drinks would be great here. Would definitely come back. read more

Placed my order on the app at 9:47am, my pick up time was 9:53am, didn't get my drink until 10;21am. The most disorganized system for order pick ups. Customers who ordered their drinks in person were receiving their drinks before app orders. We ordered their breakfast sandwiches and they could feed it to a toddler and the toddler would still be hungry. Extremely small for the $4 price tag. The drinks were mid compare to other Dutch Bros locations. We won't be coming back. read more

I was really excited to try Dutch Bros. My friends from Colorado and Idaho always rave about it, so I was so happy they finally opened in LA. I initially wanted to try their brown butter latte, but it was out of stock :(  I was recommended to try one of their teas, and while it was refreshing and not too sweet, it felt pretty average overall, nothing particularly stood out. I do think I might have ordered wrong. I also tried my friend's golden eagle chai, which was much better. It was very sweet and indulgent, almost more like a dessert than a traditional coffee or tea drink. Next time I'd want to try one of their coffee specialties instead. read more

Ok so Dutch Brother's is in town and the lines are crazy for literally no reason whatsoever because it isn't that serious. Went for the first time ever because I cut Starbucks off. Well for now. Dutch Brothers doesnt do Frappes. I was looking for a replacement but no. I waited over 15 minutes for a drink that didnt last 10 minutes. It was only $5 and change but still the wait bothered me. I got this shake. I cant remember the name of it but I asked for whip cream and I didnt see any. The consistency of the shake didnt feel right. Other than that it just felt like I was drinking pure sugar. Most of there drinks that I saw had alot of sugar. Whip creams. Swirls and other stuff. I dont know what frustrated me worse, the wait for something so meh or the waiting for it. Starbucks. Ill be back soon. It pains me to write this! As a northern Cali native, I was so excited for a Dutch bros in SoCal. I think maybe something is up with the recipes because the flavor is just not there. Hopefully they improve soon. Parking is pretty bad but I think I saw a free 45 minute parking but I did just have my husband run up grab the drinks and go since street parking is impossible. Ok, so this has NOTHING to do with friendliness of the staff nor the quality of food and drink, but EVERYTHING to do with promptness of pre orders. Honestly I hate leaving such a low rating because everything is so good, EXCEPT the ordering online and expecting your order to be ready even within 10 min of the time given for it to be ready by. Truly it's probably 20-30 min more than what's stated it'll be ready by and what's annoying about that, is that if you have a schedule and even gave the place 15 min wiggle room, they're even late with that. Go when you have nothing to do or don't mind waiting, because that's what you'll do. And what doesn't make sense is that if you are going to have people wait that long, at least have a seating area. I placed my order for pick up, pick up was at 8:39 a.m. and I went in the line to ask for my order at 8:40, I was told that my breakfast sliders were coming and so my order wasn't ready. I can see my iced coffee on the counter and wasn't given the option to take it and wait for my breakfast sliders. I waited 14 mins after my estimated time pick up just to be told that the employee who handed me my order just came back from her 30 minute break and she wasn't told that my order wasn't ever given to me.
