The store was very well-kept, bright, and inviting. Service was a bit of a miss. The cashier seemed new and wasn't very familiar with the menu or ordering process, which slowed things down a bit. As for the food, the donuts came out hot and fresh. That said, they were very sweet. Almost overpoweringly so. If you have a big sweet tooth, you'll probably love them. If not, it might be a bit much after a few bites. Tried a breakfast sandwich as well... solid, but nothing memorable. Same goes for the coffee... perfectly fine, but didn't stand out in any way. Overall, it's a good concept with fresh-made donuts being the clear draw, but the experience as a whole landed right in the middle for me. I'd come back if I was specifically craving a warm donut, but not necessarily for anything beyond that.

The shop is usually busy, so it's understandable having to wait for your order, even though I usually place mine online well before getting there. It's a cute little place though! The breakfast sandwiches are simple, yet taste great. Each donut I've tried has also been yummy, and you can tell the employees take pride in making them. They taste like cake donuts with whatever choice topping you get! I think the ideas and flavors are creative and unique. The coffee tastes average, but you can at least get a milk alternative without an up-charge, which is nice.

The cappuccino had smooth, velvety foam and a balanced espresso flavor -- simple, clean, and done right. My drink was earthy and warm with a gentle spice from the turmeric, and the honey rounded it out nicely. It's not something you see on every menu, and they executed it well. The shop itself has a relaxed, modern feel and makes for an easy stop whether you're grabbing something to go or settling in for a bit. The torched marshmallows brought a nice aroma and the char added to dimensions of flavor in the cup. If you're in Spartanburg SC it's a must try.
