We ordered: 3 piece leg (fried chicken) with two sides (Mac & cheese and greens with cornbread muffin, rib sandwich, catfish filet sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, and fried okra. The fried chicken was goo, perfectly crispy, and there was a custom taste to the spices they used (though the mix personally wasn't my favorite). Hubs thought his catfish sandwich was really good and he loved the fried okra. Kid who ordered the pulled pork thought it was delicious. The rib sandwich was a bit of a surprise to the other kid - he thought it would be rib meat vs ribs with bone on in the sandwich. The Mac & cheese was good and the greens and cornbread were fabulous. Someone mentioned the price for the amount of food. I feel like the sandwiches were reasonable. The price/amount ration for the fried chicken plate was also as expected. So, all in all, support this small business, they've got good food, the customer service was excellent, and personally, I don't think there's any concern about the price/amount ratio. Enjoy!

I'm so happy this place is right down the street! Some may say the prices are a bit steep. I don't think so, without being an industrial restaurant, these prices are to be expected. I thought the portion sizes are perfect.

The Mac & cheese was flavorful and cheesy just the right amount. The collard greens after adding my preferred spices - crushed red pepper and sazon was good too. It was enough for 3 meals. I hope it's a standard on the menu because I will definitely be bad. The sweet potato pie tasted homemade and tasted like the way I make mine so that was good. It's located off the road and there's a stand of produce nearby. Be aware of forms of payment.

I actually got hot delicious gourmet soup with a green salad complimented with dill dressing! The atomoshere was relaxed and decor was upscale. A new lunch destination, always exciting. It's in the same shopping center as Choi's Korean Market…read moreand Restaurant so I wasn't sure if all the cars were at this new eatery or at Choi's (which is known to be packed for lunch). Upon entrance, we noted that it was not packed. Three people were seated at the 7 tables. Very small restaurant. 3 or 4 tables seated 4 ppl and 3 tables were for 2 ppl. The decor is lovely and very pleasant. Linen table clothes and napkins, real glasses. Clean, new and just nice. The bakery display was kind of "eh". Cupcakes, red velvet cake and some other stuff that slips my memory. The menu had like 7 sandwiches, 2 soups, a hamburger, and several salads. Me and my lunchdate ordered the club sandwich with the shrimp and corn chowder soup. I ordered the side of potato salad and he ordered the apple salad side. There were 2 additional sides: side salad and pasta salad. There were 2 soups on the menu but they had 2 additional soups: chicken and wild rice and something else. They had a red pepper soup on the menu. The shrimp and corn chowder came out first in a cute tea cup. My first bite was rich and delish but as it went down, a "tangy bittersweet" after taste followed which I wasn't sure if I liked or not. As I ate more, I realized I wasn't too crazy about whatever they had put in the soup to make it have a "sweet/tangy/bitter" aftertaste. If not for the aftertaste, I loved the potatoes and shrimp and richness of the soup. I did eat all of it, my date didn't. The sandwiches arrived after FOREVER. Seriously, it took entirely too long to make a ham and turkey sandwich with bacon and cheese. It had to be like 30 minutes (after the soup arrived). And we weren't the only ones waiting. When it arrived it looked good and tasted good. The potato salad was kind of "eh". It tasted like potatoes in mayo. It didn't have any other type of flavor/seasoning/kick to it. Very plain. The apple salad my date had was "eh". I could see the apples had turned slightly brown under the mayo "sauce". It had craisins in it. He didn't touch it after the first bite. Overall, eh. Good sandwich, soup not included (unlike McCall's - soup and sandwich for $6.95), soup was ok, wait was long, ticket came up to $21.00. I guess $10.00 per meal would be ok if it was spectacular. I think I like McCall's better. Sorry, Michelle!!!! I would come back to try another soup and another sandwich. I always give another try before blacklisting a place.

They have a well range selection of meats and sides to choose from so I definitely want to try more. It was not too loud so I was able to have a conversation with my friends easily. The service was nice and quick as well! I decided to get the Brisket Burger all the way with a side of wedges and Mac and cheese and a sweet tea. The brisket burger was delicious! It was nice and tender that it almost falls apart on you! I put their delicious BBQ sauce on it as well and it paired really nicely with the burger! The wedges were seasoned well and the Mac and cheese was delicious as well! My only gripe would be that the brisket had too much smoke flavor on it, was a little over powering. The sweet tea was really good as well. The balance between sweetness and tea was perfect! Over all I definitely recommend eating her and I can't wait to go back and try more food!
