He NEVER cared about his schoolwork & homework was ALWAYS a struggle until he started at Center Academy at St. John's Bluff. I am so thankful to have options such as this school because some kids just don't do well at large public schools and need different accommodations that other schools can't offer. This time we (20-25 parents) had to wait outside behind gate (looks prison like-one of the changes) I'm looking around and a parent tells me to go find this lady who'll take my ID and child's name. I do, but very unorganized. I wait 20 minutes and another lady comes out and calls out names on ID to return (no kids). I say "are you the principal?" She says "yes", I say "you need a faculty meeting to figure out a better way to do this." Maybe she was having a bad day but she went off in a huff! What? She can't take suggestions? Her faculty can't help with this procedure? Everyone only gets one chance for a 1st impression and the procedure to check out students this day......needs improvement!

It's bad when you have to include the principal, which she passes to the assistant (which this person was a BIG help last year). Have things changed that much with this generation of teaching staff that it's only about the pay check rather than the pride in assisting the students as they are the future. My daughter can technically graduate a year early but wants to stay and graduate with her original classmates and continue to work towards taking classes towards her AA degree. I won't put the names out there of the staff and teachers who have dropped the ball more than several times, but Atlantic Coast needs to get it together as a whole. I am sure some students/parents do not have a hard time, I need to know what they are doing to not have any issues and get things done right away or within a reasonable time. I must say upon pulling up to the school it is a beautiful High school Well kept friendly Game staff . Checking into the game was simple you have your ticket from Go Fan which is the app they use now to purchase tickets and that's fairly simple as well you just download it and search your team and the team schedule pops up . You can even select to set the team as your favorite and be keep in the loop constantly about games and ticket purchases which is nice ! The concession stand was loaded with game day snacks from wings to nachos and chips soda. Both teams have played an amazing game entertaining and exciting giving all they have and leaving it in the field. The gold and blue that the Sandalwood Saints are wear is eye catching and stands out . Fletcher in the house rocking purple and black which is nice but I'm part-cal to my Saints oh yeah I can't forget about the Cheerleading team they are so hype and enthusiastic encouraging the team all the way loud and on beat,along with the both bands playing an amazing mini concert during halftime along with a flag show which was really kool to watch. Until someone had to go and rue-in a great time with threats and changed the whole vibe of the game and atmosphere . Thank God everything was ok and everyone was safe! JSO cleared the scene . It was traumatizing towards the end .
