Add to that a tall glass of huckleberry lemonade and you have one happy camper. We've been on the road since NY so this was a welcome treat so close to our destination of Seattle! Did I add that you can get gas there too? A must for anyone traveling on I90 passing through St Regis, MT.

Unique spot with an incredible burger!…read more If you are passing through Wallace, you have to check out The Fainting Goat. What a cool spot to get a uniquely delicious burger! I ordered the French Onion burger, and while I unfortunately forgot to snap a picture before diving in, it was amazing--smothered in rich sautéed onions, a generous slab of melted Swiss cheese, and creamy mayonnaise, all served with a side of rich au jus for dunking. Truly delicious from the first bite to the last. The decor gives the place so much personality, right down to the unique bathroom setup! You step up a couple of steep steps behind the door, and the sink is made from half of a wine barrel--definitely a fun first for me. On top of the great food and ambiance, the staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

Hardly anyone there and the waitress would not come take our order. Let money walk right out the door.

You definitely won't leave hungry. Salad is fresh. My 'matadore' is tasty. The potroast is OK. Not like we make at home, but it got eaten. There isn't too much closeby and this turned out to be a fine option.

Highly Disappointed With My Last Visit (1st week of July 2026)…read moreWhen I heard customer ask for extra crackers for his soup,The Waitress then told the Customer that she would have to charge him an Extra $2.00. This was our second visit, and it only confirmed what we already knew: this place is a true hidden gem. It is well worth the drive for anyone looking for an incredible meal and a beautiful drive to get there. The menu is exactly what you want it to be--focused, high-quality, and ideal for anyone who appreciates a great steakhouse with a Montana twist. We started with the steamer clams; they recently updated the broth, and it is phenomenal. My only "critique" is that it's served with two small pieces of bread when you really need at least six to soak up every drop of that new broth! Last year, the Prime Rib and medallions were incredible, but you have to branch out to see what this kitchen can really do. I went with the Bison Filet--perfectly cooked, generous portioning, and served over delicious mashed potatoes and broccolini. My wife had the Peppered Bison Tenderloin Linguini; the flavors were layers deep and the portion was so filling that she actually had a great lunch to bring home. Our server, Jubal, was the highlight of the evening, honestly can't say enough good things about him. He was knowledgeable, professional, and possessed an impressive amount of patience. We watched him spend 15 minutes gracefully explaining everything from wine vintages to basic steak temperatures to a very demanding table nearby. He handled it with total class and never missed a beat with our own service. We certainly won't be waiting another year to return. If you haven't made the trip out here yet, you are missing out on one of the best dining experiences in the state.
