With Achalasia the motility of the esophagus does not work right and the sphincter is too tight. All the food and liquid comes back up and you can't sleep at night from cough up white foamy stuff. My life force dwindled. I tried homeopathy, acupuncture (with a different doc), and all sorts of energetic healing for a year. With western medicine my choices were surgery or dilatation of the sphincter of the esophagus. In 2010 I was referred to Dr. Zhijiang Chen (CJ) DAOM, L.Ac.. After his consult, I decided to do TCM with him and do the dilatation of my sphincter. Most of my treatment has been with herbs and diet and he brought me back to life where my symptoms are gone.
