Turns out it wasn't as simple as I thought but I either got ridiculous quotes or no one called me back. I'm not sure how I found victor but I'm so happy I did. He and Jeremy get the job on time and to budget. They did excellent work and were a pleasure to have around our house. We've done simple things such as hanging large pictures to larger contracting projects. They built things for us, fixed things for us and generally made our house a better place to live.

Review of Josh Keely aka Redbeard Our neighbor of 9 years…read moreintroduced us to Josh to seal leaks between the roof and carport and front awning. Our neighbor is Josh's grandmother and she stated he did good work. Since I was not allowed to go on the roof due to recent medical problems we hired him. We asked Josh if the work was done by the hour or job, and he said he would be fair. Bottom line, after seeing his work ethics we would NOT recommend or hire him again for any job for the following reasons. Josh was late every day that he did show up. On 3 occasions (dates and times agreed on) he never did show and set up new dates and times. He has no respect for your time at all. Second problem, in our opinion he is drastically over priced for the job to be done. There is one positive, it appears he does good work if he finishes the job, which he did not. I guess we will find out when it rains if he did actually do a good job. For those who want the detail below is a day by day accounting of Josh's work ethics. Sept 15th- Josh was contacted to review the work to be done. He said he would be out at 10am Sept 17th. Sept 17th- No show , we were told by his grandmother he couldn't make it and he would be out 18th at 10 am. Sept 18th- Josh showed up late at 10:45 am , 45 minutes late. He looked at the work said he would be fair and wanted to start on Sept 23rd at 9am. Date was set. Sept 23rd- Said he could not make it on Monday the 23rd . He wanted to make it Tuesday the 24th at 9am. Said fine. Sept 24th- Josh contacted us on the 24th at 8:30 and wanted to change time to 10am. He did show up at 11:15 am and started work. 1 hour and 15 minutes late. Worked a couple of hours and wanted to come back on Thursday Sept 26th at 8:30am to do more work. Time and date set. We asked him if we should pay him for what he had done today. He said no need. Sept 26th- Josh showed up at 9:30, 1 hour late and did additional work. Josh worked a couple of hours. Josh wanted to make the next appointment for Monday Sept 30th at 9am. Agreed date and time set to finish the work. We asked if we should pay him for some of his work. He said yes and that we owed him $415. He stated he gave us a discount as his normal rate is $100 per hour. We were surprised as the normal handyman rate for construction by handyman in our neighborhood is $45 per hour We paid it and just wanted him to finish the work. Sept 29th- Contacted us at 6pm Sunday and wanted to change the Monday Sept 30th appt to Tuesday Oct 1st at 9am. We agreed Just finish the job. Sept 30th- Josh contacts us at 5pm Monday and wants to change our Tuesday 9am Oct 1st appointment to 12 noon. He said he needed to run to Weiser to look at another job. This would not work for us and we suggested Oct 2nd at 9 am. He said no, he was coming at noon Oct 1st. He said the 2nd would not work for him as he wanted to go to the mountains. Oct 1st- You guessed it Josh did not show up on time again. He showed up at 1pm an hour late. This was to finish the job. He said it would take one hour. We told him we changed our appointment to later to accommodate him. Then he shows up an hour late. Told him to finish the job and we would leave his final payment with his grandmother (our neighbor). We left he started to work. We returned later that day after our appointment and he did not finish the job. He did tell his grandmother he did and took his final payment money.

I hired these guys to drywall a kitchen remodel project. Their pricing is fair, they show up on…read moretime, and do excellent work. I had some small cracks show up after they finished and they came back and fixed them right away. My only criticism would be on attention to detail when working on a remodel vs. new construction. Drywall is extremely messy. My job was a remodel, so I was living in the house while it was being worked on. The crew did not screen off or seal the work area from the remodel area, after the first day of cleaning up after them I installed zip walls and sealed the work site. This made it a little easier to contain the mess, but there was still plenty of mess to clean up daily. They also did not take time to mask off newly installed light switches and outlets, and sprayed texture right over the top of brand new outlets and switches. Needless to say, I spent a lot of time cleaning up after them.
