    Perfect Chimney Cleaning

Very knowledgeable and professional company. Prices are fantastic. Got my chimney cap installed…read morewithin 2 weeks of ordering . Definitely will be calling back for yearly cleanings.

Original Google review was removed so now I'm re-posting it here on yelp…read more I absolutely would NOT recommend this company to work on your chimney. The staff is very nice. Unfortunately, a nice staff doesn't equal quality results. Problem 1: This project took a total of 35 days to complete. That's insane. If you add up the total time it took to actually complete the physical work, it took 4 hours total...including consultation/inspection, crown repair and cap installation. The delays were due to rain but were rescheduled seven days apart each time. There were plenty of days that were dry, sunny and warm in between those seven day periods. I feel like they should have stopped accepting new work and completed the work they already started. Dragging out a 4 hour project over a 35 day period is unacceptable regardless of the type of business you have. See Photos. Problem 2: My roof was less than 60 days old at the time of starting this project and is a beautiful deep black color, as you would expect from a literal brand new roof. Except, I now have a bright gray stain on the peak of the roof. The gray stain is from concrete dust that was spilled during the crown repair. It rained the very next day before I was able to clean it myself, so the concrete solidified and is a permanent stain now. It sticks out like a sore thumb and looks terrible. No tarp or plastic was used to protect the work area. I know tarps can't be used in some circumstances for safety reasons, but if that was the case then the utmost care and attention to detail should be paid to cleanliness. Neither was done for my roof. They also left their trash up there. See photos. Problem 3: The concrete for the crown was poorly done and not level. Large drips ran down from the front of the chimney. No attempt was made to wipe those down. They solidified and need to be chiseled off at some point. They weren't and I assume that task is now left for me to do. There was no attempt at all to make the crown look cosmetically pleasing. The surface is rough and looks like chunky peanut butter, which is not something you want when you have to adhere a flat cap to that surface. I would be fine with an ugly crown if it was at least level. See Photos. Problem 4: Because of the problems outlined in problem number 3 the cap does not fit flush against the crown. In an attempt to get the job done the cap was screwed into the uneven surface which caused the steel tabs to stretch and become deformed. The head of the masonry screw is too thin and a stainless steel washer should've been used to prevent tear out but wasn't. I can say with almost 100% certainty, if we get winds over 25 or 30 miles an hour the steel tabs are going to tear and my new chimney cap is going to be laying in my neighbors backyard. See Photos. Problem 5: It appears the chimney cap was assembled inside out. If you go to the manufacturers website the metal tabs are supposed to face outward. Because of this, the cap looks asymmetrical and awkward. Looks like this was done because if the tabs are facing outward in the correct manner, it would be the wrong size for my chimney. Problem 6: The initial cap I was shown on the salespersons phone was black and matched the overall black and white theme of the house. The one that was installed is a bright silver. Problem 7: Besides the rain delays which are totally understandable, one of the delays happened because supposedly "the manufacturer sent the wrong cap" but I could hear the whole conversation they were having. (Front door was open because of an extension cord they ran into the house.) Turns out they accidentally installed my cap on the house previous to mine. Even though I could hear every word they said, they proceeded to lie to my face and delay the project for another week until a new one arrived. Problem 8: Front left corner is cracked off of the new crown. See photo. I don't wish ill-will on any of the staff, They were truly pleasant and friendly people, but I do wish they would be retrained with an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship.
