I thought the texture of this yeast doughnut was exemplary as it was airy with a nice amount of chewiness. The dough itself had a nice buttery flavor, but I know what you all care about is that peanut butter frosting. That's where things begin to go a bit south as the peanut butter frosting was good, but just too mild of a flavor. A suggestion I have based on some of the best doughnut shops in the country that I've encountered would be filling the doughnut with a peanut butter frosting. That would definitely take this doughnut to the next level. It was still a nice dessert to have with my breakfast and for the price wasn't bad. This trip I got a blueberry, a creme cheese and a Boston cream one. My favorite was the Boston cream, my least favorite was the cream cheese. We also got a glazed donut and a twist, both of these for the first time. The donut was better than you can get at the famous places. The twist was a cross between a donut and a cinnamon roll. Very good. There was a line when we arrived but it moved fairly quickly. There was only one person at the register, he was filling orders, answering the phone and taking payments, so not real friendly, but not rude. I noticed while we were walking that they have a good selection of other dishes other than sweet stuff. Tempted to try something different next time. We sat in the adjoining seating area that is shared with a sandwich shop. The seating area was clean and huge. No trouble finding a seat here. I am sure we will continue to stop here on every trip.

I was in today, the owner had placed Hazelnut Coffee Mate into the carafe marked "Half and Half" and argued with me when I told them that there was Hazelnut Coffee Mate in the Half and Half carafe. I was shocked that the owner didn't think for a second that she made a mistake, but instead told me that she just poured it in their and it was absolutely half and half. I told her to taste it - she did not. I was so mad at her utter lack of curiosity and her apparent belief in her own infallibility that I poured another fresh cup of coffee, put the "Half and Half" in it, tasted Hazelnut coffee mate, and had to throw it away again. The owner didn't care to watch but the employees saw it. I am allergic to carageenan because I was bitten by a lone star tick and got Alpha Gal allergy. Over 500,000 Americans, most in the Southeast, have this allergy. Coffee Mate has carageenan. I would love to continue coming to Daily Donuts, but not if I am going to be gas lit by the owner.
