She just stares at me blankly and says she doesn't know. I left without the doughnuts and will dispute the charge. Charging something other than the price on your own menu board is illegal. An employee who can't explain the prices they are charging, comprehend that $19.99 times 2 plus tax doesn't equal $57, or doesn't even try to fix an obvious mistake (or ask another worker for help is a really poor representative of a what is really a great local business. They were made fresh, were the light and fluffy dough type (cake donuts were available just not my thing) and the cream and jelly fillings were good. Service was fast and efficient. There really is no ambiance here. They could do more with the interior but I doubt they need to. Every time I drive by, there are cars in the lot out front. Are they the best donuts I've ever had? Not quite. Are they the best donuts in Asheboro? I don't know yet since this is the first donut shop I've tried but they were made just how I like them (fresh) and the bear claw donut is probably one of the best I've had. I would recommend this place for donuts and I'll be a repeat customer.
