WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER
This morning, I went in to my local Dunkin Donuts located at 23 Commerce Way in Plymouth, MA 02360. Being a New Englander, I stop in most mornings, on my way to work. I work in Hingham and live in Plymouth and my iced coffee wakes me up for my half hour commute to work. I had a very unpleasant experience this morning. I was all pumped up after watching the Patriots defeat the Jaguars, and was excited they were going to yet another Super Bowl. I had my Patriots gear on, beanie & hoodie. I wanted my 87 cent iced coffee as promoted & advertised on TV by my favorite guy #87 Rob Gronkowski. If the Patriots win, the next days a medium coffee hot or iced, is supposed to be 87 cents. When I mentioned it to the cashier Robin R. she had no idea what I was talking about. How can someone work for a company, and know nothing about said company? I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was new? Or maybe she's just one of those people that could care less about her job, does the bare minimum required, and thinks that just because she shows up she'll get paid. Anyways, I handed her my Dunkin perks rewards card, and she slid the card through the register. She said it had "insufficient funds" which didn't make any sense, because my card doesn't need to have funds in order to get the 87 cent coffee, all she has to do is swipe it through the computer, as long as I'm a member of the program I should get what I am entitled to, according to the Dunkin Donuts promotions. I wasn't going to sit there and argue with the girl, I had to go to work. I tried to show her on my phone, and she replied "You're getting upset at me for something I have no control over" which is not true, she does have control over it, she was hired as a cashier to operate the cash register, therefore she should be properly trained on how to do so. She did ask someone to come over and help her, and the other associate who came over wasn't very helpful and said the discount should come off when she totaled out the order. Well it didn't, and I was running out of time. I told her I was going to be calling corporate on her and she replied with a nasty, rude remark of "have fun with that" and guess what? I did call corporate, but here's the catch 22, only some Dunkin Donuts are owned by corporate, others are owned & operated as a franchise, which means, they are owned by a person. The lady on the phone from corporate didn't do much, she sent an e-mail to the manager, and the manager named Cathy called me )during work hours) and left a voicemail. I called her back, and she had already left for the day. Needless to say, I will NOT be coming back to that location due to the experience I had. read more
