Whenever I visit this location when picking up doughnuts and coffee for school events, everyone is very gracious and welcoming, especially the owners. In fact, I picked up a dozen doughnuts for a school book fair this morning (a Saturday), and they were the freshest from any Dunkin' I've visited in the area. The owners are very sweet to me and my son (they give him free Munchkins), and they thank me for my repeat business because they remember us from a visit earlier in the year. Definitely do not recommend the location of Dunkin Donuts on 137 off Milwaukee on the north side of 137. The staff is extremely rude especially the lady at the window where you pay and pick up. Her math is atrocious when she has to make change. She tends to give you back the wrong amount. She also charges for the wrong size or item you ordered. Surprised the owner allows her to continue being employed and dealing with customer service. She may be ok to make donuts but that's about all. I cleverly avoid the weekend morning rush by intentionally arriving around 11AM on Saturdays or Sundays. By this late hour, I am barely functional and in need of DD coffee ( light and sweet please). This location appears quite new and has plenty of tables and chairs where one can relax, enjoy the coffee, donuts, bagels and the wonderful aroma of brewing coffee and baked goods. There is usually a free local newspaper available however, I just pop open the lap top and enjoy their free WiFi. The environment is comfy enough so that I can linger for a while and maybe even have a second cup of Joe and plan the rest of my weekend. The owners and employees are all very nice, get my orders correctly, and are responsive. As I am banished to these suburbs, I choose to go to a reliable, clean, friendly DD instead of waiting in line at a popular pancake house or overpay for mediocre food. It's funny that I'm reviewing this place but I just had to give this place an excellent review. I go to DD about once a week or once every other week. I might pick up a coffee or an egg white flat bread if I didn't make my usual oatmeal breakfast. The service is always excellent and everyone always seems to be so extremely happy. God, it's almost sickening. At 7 AM I'm not extremely happy but these people always tend to have a smile on their face and really do seem to enjoy their job. Today I went to pick up an egg white flat bread sandwich and the man working there was so nice. I drove to the window to pick up my flat bread and he was laughing and humming and talking to me about the weather (thank God it's going to be 50 tomorrow!). He was just having a nice conversation with me and as soon as my flat bread was ready and all heated up he handed it to me and told me to have a nice day. And I did. Have a nice day, that is. He really made my day today - besides the fact that it's Friday - he was the cherry on top. I have neglected to notice how nice people are at this DD location and today was the straw that broke the camels back - so to speak. This is my go-to Dunkin because it's so convenient on my way to work. I have gotten, on occasion, food that was not as hot as it should be ( I usually order the egg white flatbread sandwiches). However, this morning I not only had to wait quite a bit longer at the drive through than normal, but the Veggie Eggwhite Flatbread I received was cold! Not just "not hot enough", but cold.....SALMONELLA COLD!! Since I was on my way to work, I didn't turn around right away, but I really wanted to. I have no problem at all with the service of the early morning crew, but the food not being hot is not only unappetizing, it's potentially dangerous! I have to agree with tiffany k. on this one (and everyone else echoing her sentiments.) This DD is So Nice. I've only ever breezed in through the drive-thru, but every instance is 5-star worthy. The staff is friendly, they put the right amount of stuff in my coffee and it's right on my way to I-94. Once, while I was starting out on a trip to the south suburbs with my dog in tow, the drive-thru barista gave me a doggy biscuit "for the puppy." After handing me my drinks, she snuck two more into my hand "in case it was a long trip." So thoughtful! I vowed to make a positive review, and now here I am. If you're ever stuck in that traffic on Peterson/Milwaukee, give this place a visit to lift your mood. read more

Worst experience at this Dunkin'. My sister accidentally ordered two drinks on the Dunkin' app, and she realized that her card was charged about 20 minutes later. We drove over there, and I politely asked if we would be able to get two new drinks instead because she did not mean to order those drinks and she already paid through the app. He asked me if I would like him to trash the two drinks that were ordered previously, and I said "yes, if you would be able to". He then asks me "How is that fair to us?" because they made those drinks. I was honestly speechless. I just gave in and said that I would take the two drinks that we ordered on accident. I did not realize it took that much effort to make two peppermint mocha drinks when we were their only customer at that time. Awful customer service. I stop here almost every evening on weekdays. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The guy who usually works there has a great voice on the drive thru and should be in radio. He is always helpful and accommodating. My drinks and food have been served quickly and tasted great. Sandwiches always are the way I order them (I often want different or extra ingredients). There was a special where you buy a medium coffee and get 2 free doughnuts but the entire store only had 1 doughnut sitting there (and it was 11 AM and they were already out of doughnuts for the day). I asked if I could have just one doughnut with my coffee (although I am supposed to get 2 but they only had 1 sitting there). She denied me and said I have to have 2 and since they don't have 2 I can't have any with my purchase. She gave me attitude and said it wasn't her fault that there's only 1 there (when she's the manager...) I must say that the food; donuts, bagels, sandwiches are very good and fresh at this Dunkin Donuts, unlike other Dunkin Donut shops. I do think they could make some exceptions to make their customers happy, like accepting coupons. Word of mouth goes a long way. I'd rather have people say good things, rather than complain. It's not good for business when people leave angry then tell their friends. Also; if the owners like their employee's, they probably should not pay them UNDER minimum wage, especially when they get up at 4:15am. and show up for work on time, every time at 5:30am. to 7 / 7:30am. LESS THAN MiNiMUM WAGE is really not right and certainly does motivate one to get up at the crack of dawn to go to a job that has the audacity to pay them under minimum wage. Needless to say the night manager gives that employee a bad attitude when they come in after work to purchase something as a customer, then tells them they have to wait or make what they want themselves. The loss of business from this person weekly is about $52.00 to $105.00 a week. So the bad attitude and no discount as an employee, plus being asked to make the order themselves was just not worth coming there anymore. The business can be given to another Dunkin Donuts. Pretty sad that the owners couldn't pay at least minimum wage to show an employee that they are appreciated. read more
