First time here and was very happy with my experience :)…read more Can't think of the last time I got an iced latte that was served PROPER with some foam! A delightful surprise that goes to show the quality of craftsmanship and knowledge that goes into the drinks here at Covered Bridge. I can't admit I'm any sort of coffee snob, I don't drink it black or hot, but as much as I enjoy my insanely sweet lattes, this reminded me of why I drink coffee in the first place. The flavor is robust and deep even through the creaminess of the milk, and the sweetness is subtler than I'm used to. All around a flavorful and satisfyingly smooth latte that actually tastes LIKE COFFEE!! Service was excellent and fast! The young woman working today was so friendly and helpful and seemed prepared to help with advice or knowledge if needed. The in-store space is quaint and comfortable, and on every wall is a selection of goods, repurposed coffee bean bags, snacks, beans, merch, etc.

However, the coffee is just not great. I used reviews to find this place and thought finally a great cup of coffee. My husband got the regular drip coffee and it taste like water with the essence of coffee. I got the chai latte with espresso and although not great it was substantially better than the drip. I would definitely give this place another shot if I lived closer.

The service was such an uplifting experience. Not only was it warm and friendly, but I inadvertently overpaid the bill with an extra $50 bill, and our server, guessing a mistake had been made, came out to the parking lot to find us and give back the fifty. What an honest and upright thing to do! A new favorite restaurant to support!

The donuts, however, were underwhelming. They looked pretty with all the flavors to choose from but if I were blindfolded, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. They all taste the same. I got the Black Sesame, the Ube, and the Coffee. The only one that really stood out was the Coffee because it had the Biscoff cookie on it. Also, I went in wanting just two donuts but since there's a $10 minimum to use your card instead of cash, I wound up getting a third donut. I won't be back. There are so many other places to get a better mochi donut.

My husband tried their duck rice roll and it was also gross. The place also has a weird smell, like dirty water on the tables. I really don't like giving bad reviews but I will never come back. I've given them a few tries but the final straw was when I went one morning at 11:10, when they said they were opening at 11, and they weren't open... so I simply walked away. The owner/manager was driving by and started yelling angrily at me. There was no sign on the door or anything indicating that they were closed. I guess he was running late? Super weird.

My dad's 80th birthday is coming up and he loves good olive oil, cheese, pasta, and prosciutto. If you do too - then Roma's is your spot! Service was very friendly and efficient. I walked out with soppressata from the Bronx - the type you'd see hanging in an old school deli. Also some Buffalo mozzarella, Aged prosciutto sliced nice and thin, house made sausage, Olive oil that was Sicilian and not Tuscan (but highly recommended by the deli guy), some house made ravioli, manicotti and stuffed shells, marinara and vodka sauce, impulse buy lamb chops and an Italian sub. Of course I also got the parmigano reggiano, asiago, AND they have scamorza cheese AKA "scamutz!" If you've never heard of scamutz, it's like a cross between mozzarella and provolone. There's a bar in hazleton, PA that makes pizza with it. Very good. Seems somewhat hard to find in my part of NJ but maybe I don't look hard enough. Only thing I forgot was bread. Hey I'm a 'medigan - forgive me. If you aren't sure what's good, just ask them. Staff is very kind and helpful. Sure I spent a couple Benjamin's and a Grant, but we can't take it with us and memories last forever. I'm glad Roma's is around to play a part in the memories we will make for my father's special day. Here's to many more for him, and for this fine purveyor of Italian delicacies!

We were told that the chef has changed when my husband inquired about ribs, which are no longer, but we were not disappointed with the food that we received. Sorry, I didn't take pictures this time. The clams casino were amazing. The pomegranate martini was really nice also. My husband had the broiled stuffed shrimp and he couldn't stop raving about them. (They were quite tasty). I had the crab cake on the arugula salad. The crab cake was really delicious, I do prefer it to be hotter in temperature, but it did come on a salad, so I will let that go. I will recommend when ordering the crab cakes to verify if it is one cake or two that you want. I didn't specify and was delivered a double which of course was double the cost. All in all, another delicious meal!

My wife took a slice of bread from each deli and numbered them 1-5. Only my wife was aware of the mapping of the deli to the numbers. I then returned to the room and my wife stepped away. I made the sandwiches and then converted the numbers to letters. #1 becomes letter C, #2 becomes letter A, etc. The mapping of numbers to letters was only known by me. Below are the results in order of worst to best. #5 Original South Philly Jewish Rye (available at Giant Food Markets) cost $6 for a full loaf. This was our least favorite. No flavor and the texture was completely off. The bread was very dry, almost stale. If you are short on time (and money), this will work but my recommendation is head to a deli and get some real NY Jewish Rye. #4 Ben & Irv's Deli in Southamptom cost $5.50 for a half loaf. The texture gets us closer to a true deli rye bread but still dry and light on flavor. #3 Moish and Itzy's in Newtown cost $6.00 for a half loaf. The crust is chewy as it should be and tasted great. The inside is a bit on the dry side. This was just a hair behind the #2 spot. Candidly I would rank this higher but my wife found the dryness unacceptable and I never win an argument with her. #2 Borscht Belt in Newtown cost $10 for a half loaf. This is a softer texture if that is your thing. My wife liked the texture but I like a chewier crust and heartier bread. I don't know that this bread will hold up to a mound of meat or wet toppings. The flavor was terrific. If you don't mind spending $10 for a half loaf of bread, then give it a try. I'm saving for retirement so probably won't return anytime soon. #1 [Top Spot] Manny's Famous Deli in Holland cost $4.50 for a half loaf. Winner winner chicken dinner. This is the fan favorite and a must try for anyone that values a good bread. Manny's offers the gold standard of ryes and at a price that leaves enough money to also buy a deli pickle. Our not-so-great experience may have been a result of the choices we made, but I'm unsure. When you first enter you are in front of a nicely stocked meat counter, loaded with different deli meats. To the left is a dining area with a sign stating "seat yourself". The place is a bit dated with a nice casual vibe. We were greeted by a server who gave us menus and took our drink orders. Service was top notch. When it came time to order I asked how the pastrami was. Server replied "the best". Ok I'll take a pastrami sandwich, my wife a corned beef. The server also asked if we wanted pickles and tomatoes which I said yes. She quickly brought a little bowl, which I chopped up and we enjoyed. The sandwiches came out and these things could've come from a school cafeteria honestly. A minimal amount of cold, sliced meat along with a small bag of chips was unimpressive. What happened to the warm, thick cut, juicy meat sandwich you could barely get your mouth around that we expected? We looked at each other thinking WTF? No sooner did we notice a sign on the wall "NY style, thick cut pastrami and corned beef NOW AVAILABLE" Now maybe we just don't want to accept responsibility but shouldn't the server have asked if that's what we wanted? Anyway we left hungry and saddened by our $48 experience. Def not worth it.
