The service is very quick, and the staff is always warm and kind. I love their avocado toast. The gluten-free bread is amazing, and the feta is a great addition. I always add a poached egg. It makes for the perfect breakfast before a flight. The café itself has limited seating but I haven't had trouble grabbing a spot either time I've been. It has a cute atmosphere, and it's a great convenient stop when you want something quick but still fresh and high-quality, particularly for an early morning flight. They also serve cocktails at this location, which I haven't tried but I'd think are tasty based on Bluestone's specialty drinks. I stuck with a simple cappuccino this time, which doesn't disappoint. Definitely my favorite place to grab breakfast at EWR!

All the macarons, lined up by flavors and distinct colors, looked good but you can never tell if its too sweet or too artificial. Fortunately, there were samples and with easy convincing from my cousin, we purchased a half dozen for $15. We got several flavors including Red velvet, strawberry, lemon, rose, chocolate-lavender, and others. I only got to try the red velvet, strawberry, and lemon and the rest went into my little cousins's bag for later. Of these, they were all soft, flavorful and not painfully sweet. My favorite was the red velvet, which had more of a crumbly cake texture but was still amazing. That's when I stumbled upon Zaro's. The line was way shorter, and you can either order at the cashier or use the self-order kiosk. I went with the kiosk because, obviously, I needed time to properly view the menu and I didn't want to be rushed! I got the matcha + an everything bagel with a cream cheese schmear. The matcha... I should've known better. It was way too sweet and didn't really taste like matcha. Definitely not my favorite. BUT THE BAGEL?! SO GOOD. Soft, chewy texture and they did NOT skimp on the cream cheese. The schmear was generous, which is exactly how it should be. There are a few tables, but most were unavailable when I went, so I'd probably recommend getting it to-go if you're in a rush. Final verdict: Skip the matcha, get the bagel and probably try the coffee (?).
