We got a plain glazed (delicious base, so fluffy and glaze that was perfectly applied), a pumpkin spice (not a hit you over the head spice-delicious!) and a pumpkin cream filled-omg this one. The manager, Hope, came outside and accused me of "talking trash" and claimed she could read my lips. I wasn't even speaking about the wait or responding to anyone. It was rude, unprofessional, and made the experience very uncomfortable. I've always respected people in customer service, so to be treated like that was frustrating. I once again asked for a refund and she took my card to swipe it for refund and then she walked away from register with my card in hand and at this point I'm livid because why are you not handing my card back??!!??? So when I demanded my card back she continued speaking to me disrespectful and mumbling so YES MAAM I SNATCHED MY CARD BECAUSE WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE YOUR ABOUT TO WALK OFF WITH IT??? Then she proceeded in calling me a F****** B****.. Based on what we were hearing, we knew we needed to check it out. My wife told me she thought there was some connection with Disneyland or Disney World and the Dole whip they served. We still need to research this, we are unsure if there is a connection. Today we were traveling from Winston-Salem to Asheville and decided we should find some Dole whip. We were passing through Hickory and my wife said we should look on our Sheetz app and begin calling them to inquire about whether or not they had a whip machine since we didn't want to take the time to visit multiple stores. We got lucky and the first location we called confirmed they had a whip machine, so we quickly reset our route to stop in. This location is very convenient to I-40 and we stepped inside and got busy making our whip. We proceeded to the cashier and didn't know if they charge by weight or not but were shocked when the cashier told us they only charge 99 cents per dish! Wow, what a deal. The Dole whip was very smooth and refreshing and we will absolutely be stopping in to grab whip, especially during the summer. It would absolutely hit the spot on a hot summer day. Another reason to love Sheetz!
