Best place in Oak Forest to get coffee and lunch. Cafe De Miro is a small but charming place. It…read morehappens to be a great place to go before getting on or after getting off a train. Lots more than just coffee. They have salads which are fresh. A lot on the menu which is crazy. It's not that big of a place. They have mostly a selection of pastries and salads. Coffee is the best thing to get. It's about $6 for a specialty. Best of these is the Brown Shaken Espresso. This is choice of milk along with cocoa powder, dark chocolate, and double espresso which is kickass. A thing to really get one going. It's about $9 for a salad. They have a few of these. I got the Arugula Pecan Salad. This also has balsamic glaze, cranberries, garlic pickle, lodolemono, onion crisps, pecans, and tomatoes. It was enough. She got the Avocado Toast. Basic looking. There's also paninis. Chill place to get breakfast or lunch. It's located on Cicero at 157th. This is across from the Metra station.

Such a cute and quaint cafe. It has a nice, clean, homey and southern kind of vibe. I had the…read moreveggie breakfast sandwich and an Americano. The Americano was really hot and they even warm the cream for you. The sandwich tasted really good. Lots of avocado and the lemondono is as sweet which made the sandwich savory with a sweet little kick. The lady working the counter was extremely friendly and personable. It's located by the Metra so it's a perfect place to come by and grab a bite before getting on the train or even just work for a bit. Overall, a great experience and will definitely be back!

I came here the other day just for drinks, and the experience was really pleasant! We had already…read moreeaten elsewhere but wanted somewhere to unwind for a bit. Their wine selection was amazing, and the Moscato I ordered was great. My bartender, Kore, was such a vibe! I genuinely enjoyed chatting with her and would come back just for the good conversations alone. I also checked out the food menu, and everything sounded delicious and seemed reasonably priced. They have an upstairs patio featuring a Juice WRLD mural. While it's not a Chicago skyline view, the scenery was still pretty decent! There's also a gaming area upstairs, which adds another fun element to the space. Overall, it's a nice spot to grab drinks, relax, and enjoy good company. I'd definitely come back!

I originally came for brunch, but my date arrived late and brunch ended at 3:00 p.m., so we had to wait for dinner service to start at 4:00 p.m. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The presentation was nice, served in a large bowl, and the sauce was delicious. However, the portion felt small for the size of the bowl--only four shrimp and not nearly enough grits. My date ordered the same dish and felt the same way. The biggest disappointment was that the food arrived only room temperature. It seems like more and more restaurants are serving food that isn't hot, and that's frustrating. My date also ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger came out without the fries, although they were brought out later. Overall, the experience was okay. The atmosphere and building are great, but the food temperature and portion size, left me underwhelmed. I might come back one day to try the brunch menu, but based on this visit, it's probably not a place I'd rush back to.
