I always enjoy shopping here. The staff are knowledgable, the store always has great sales and there are plenty of choices. Sometimes the prices are a little higher on regular priced items than online but I don't mind that becuase some things you need to touch and feel before puchasing. If I had oen complaint, it is that the restrooms are gross and consistently messed up, broken and dirty. I'm guessing. people come in a abuse them but that part of business now days and the business still has to maintain them. I came to the store to price and buy some IsoPropane cannisters, as I live in a camper and cook with these. To my disappointment, the two smaller cannisters had price tags on them, but the largest cannister did not. Not a single one of the 12 largest cannisters were priced. Then I stopped to look at an Infrared heater. Again, no price on the box. Found another area with the same Infrared heaters, and again, no pricing found. It's pretty ridiculous when stores put items on the shelf but without any pricing of the items to be found. If you'd like me to spend my money with you, please have the items appropriately priced, so I don't have to walk all the way up to the counter, wait for your current customers to be waited on, and then walk BACK theu your store to the items themselves to do my purchase price comparisons and make purchasing decisions. I probably won't be back because if you won't price it when you place it on the shelf, then I'm not going to hunt you down to spend my hard earned cash worth you. Next time, I will mail order the item rather than waste MY precious time. read more

Hate the annoying orange stickers that LOOK like an item is on clearance. Really hate that today I went into the store and there was ONE employee at the front register and I walked the entire store and found NO employees to help or answer questions. Wanted help with sale guns and ammo. Finally saw a gray-haired older lady but she hurried past in front of us and refused to make eye contact. Then when she came back, she moved over 3 isles to avoid us. Later found 2 Latino girls horsing around and slinging a water bottle. Later realize one was an employee when she went behind a front counter. Never greeted or helped us. Prices all too high, coupon items are the only value available. 11 AM on a Friday and the store was EMPTY, now I know why. read more

I really wanted to like Dunham's Sports they have good coupons but after it was mad e clear to me that my attempt to purchase a firearm legally was rejected just because I had tried to make the purchase in a legal manner I can make no other conclusion than that Dunham's is actively hostile to gun owners. This was even after I called back and spoke to the manager again and he had looked up the law and admitted that I had correctly interpreted the instructions on the Form 4473. You gauge my experience below. I had gone into the store with my Wife to purchase a Heritage Rough Rider Pistol Dunham's had on coupon for $99.00 for my daughter's birthday. I told the salesman what I needed, and he went and got a manager. I do not know the names of either unfortunately when I left I was upset and forgot to get them. The manager informed me that since I was buying it as a gift he would not sell it to me. I pointed out that it is perfectly legal to purchase a firearm as a gift. Question 11.a. on the form 4473 addresses this instance. I them asked him if he would have sold it to me if I had stated it was for me. He stated that would be illegal but nodded yes when I ask if they would have done it. So essentially the manager told me if I had broken the law they would serve me but since I disclosed my intent to purchase in a legal manner that he would not sell to me. It is preposterous to sell guns yet advocate them doing it in such a way as to not comply with the law. I was the original purchaser under the above stated instruction on the form 4473 and was not in violation of the regulation in anyway. Law abiding gun owners have enough problems with their image at the moment without having a company who should be a leader in the industry causing these types of issues. Someone stated that it may have been done from a liability standpoint but at the point I disclosed I was purchasing the gun in a manner prescribed by the ATF any liability would have fallen back on me so that is a moot issue. read more

We went in to buy a gun safe. Spent an hour picking one out just to be told they'd have to order it. Ok. Not real happy but whatever. Was told that it would take 2 to 3 weeks for our order to come in. Ok. That's not to bad. Here we are a MONTH later and still no safe and noone can even tell us an estimate on when to expect it. I really enjoy this sporting goods store! They have a tremendous selection of everything sports! Whether it's Fishing, Hunting, Camping, or Recreational Sports, they have it all! I find myself in there for at least an hour every time I go! What surprises me the most is the low prices! I will usually walk up to something thinking it's going to be unreasonable, and I am quickly mistaken. The staff has always been very helpful to me as well!
