The dentists and hygienists were always nice. Recently certain office staff--(Leann)--not so nice,…read morewell, actually rude and immature. We were patients for about 5 years. in June of last year, I contacted their office by phone to cancel all our family appointments for the rest of the year as we were changing insurance providers, and the new coverage would not be in effect until the following January. Then out-of-the-blue in the fall, I received an automated call that "demanded I pay my outstanding balance or our appointment for my son would be canceled". I contacted the office and was told they charged us $50 for a missed appointment. Wait a minute...I explained we canceled all future dates for the remainder of the year, months ago. Apparently someone on their end 'forgot' to remove one when we had mass-canceled, and now were being billed for a missed appointment--their error. I went back and forth with office person Leeann by phone and emails. In each, she was rude, refused to reason or admit to any mistake on their part. I even asked her more than once; what reason would we have to cancel all future upcoming appointments EXCEPT the one in question--she could not or refused to understand--and would rather hold firm and collect the fabricated $50 charge than admit to THEIR error. She then tried to "guilt' me saying she would "do me a favor" and remove the charge. Favor? It was their scheduling error to begin with. What I expected and never received was an apology-- not a "favor". I suppose her attempt for money grab--coupled with her apparent need to 'win"-- was far more important to her than the long-customer loyalty we had with them. In fact, after all that, when we made the decision to change dentists, we even had a problem with her forwarding our dental records to be transferred to our new dentist--which she claims she forwarded--and our new dentist never received until after a couple more phone conversations to finally get that done. We never received an apology from her or the office. (not that I believe it would have been sincere anyway). Sad, really, that the lifetime future value of our family is lost to them over a rude, unprofessional and immature office helper--so entrenched on 'winning' over a $50 billing-- a billing that we never owed in the first place. Again, the hygienists and dentists were always very nice--this is not about them, but rather about the 'face' of the firm-- a front-of-house hired help that apparently does not understand the concept of customer life-time value. Oh well...

I go to the dentist usually only when something is wrong, and I go here. When I had insurance,…read morethey knew exactly how to work with the insurance company. I went in for a cleaning, xray, general exam and was in and out in 30 minutes. When I didn't have insurance, I had a cracked tooth pulled for $180. It felt like I didn't get enough anesthetic, but I sure felt better when the tooth was gone. Later, I had a gum infection, and after a $55 visit, I was given a few shots and a prescription that worked great. The office is new, comfortable, and definitely the place to try if you hate or tend to avoid the dentist.

Though after the pain and suffering…read morefrom my two sets of braces, and major jaw surgery, I'm more than happy to go to the dentist to proactively avoid any future pain. I've had quite enough, thank you very much. After waiting a little too long this go around (for a cleaning), I was a little concerned about the pain I might feel. Really, my hygienist did a great job of making me comfortable. The doc came in and did a little rummaging around, good to go. It was really quite a pleasant experience, given that I was at the dentist. The only irritating part is that when my dad called to make the appointment, he told them no x-rays. They did them anyway, and then tried to charge me for them (I don't have insurance). I complained about it, and they did take it off the bill. So I was happy about that... overall good experience. Just make sure that if you don't want x-rays you say it both on the phone and in person (I didn't know that the quoted price from my dad didn't include x-rays, otherwise I would have told them in person too). Oh, the cost for the cleaning was $150.

After my regular dentist (not this place!) referred me to an oral surgeon (for wisdom teeth…read moreextraction) that didn't have any reviews, I started looking for practices on my own. I came across this one here on Yelp, and I am SO happy that I did. The dentists here referred me to Dr. Pasternak, their oral surgeon. I hate having my teeth messed with and I'm already anxious just going to the dentist for cleanings. Needless to say, I was so nervous about the procedure and possible complications, but she did an amazing job of explaining everything to me and making me feel safe. Some of my wisdom teeth were impacted, so the procedure required more work and was done under anesthesia (by my request, I wanted to be out of it). Everything went exceedingly well, I had no pain during recovery, and the incisions/holes healed with ZERO complications. Two years later I still think back on the experience and how grateful I am to Dr. Suzanne Pasternak for the skill and care she provided. I figured I should write a review since I still feel so strongly. The office staff were amazing too and were very helpful during all of my pre-procedure visits. I highly recommend this place for everything dental-related. I would make it my regular dentist's office if I didn't live so far!
