I went to Highbury Ford for repairs covered under recall warranty. I was told to bring the car in…read morethe morning, so that I can pick it up in the evening. I did as the person suggested. Later that day, the technician called me to say that they'll need it for one more day because it's a bigger job than expected. Although, this wasn't ideal for me, but I thought it was understandable. The next day, I was waiting for a call, so I can pick up my car. No call. I called late afternoon and they said that they'll need another day because they don't have the parts (which is something that should have been arranged when the appointment was made the previous week). At this point, it was too late to arrange a loaner car, so I wouldn't have a car for three days. Day 3: I call a few times in the late morning in order to arrange pickup of my car later that day (I worked, so would have to make arrangements for someone to drive the car to my apartment), but the technician didn't pick up the phone. I left a message for him to call me back . I called again around noon. The person I talked to said the tech is on lunch, but that he would tell him to call me right away. No one returned my calls. I called a total of 6 times that day and my talk would not return my calls. Later that day, while I was at work, he called to tell me my car is ready. Because of the nature of my work, I had to scramble within 3 minutes in order to make arrangements for a family member to pick up my car. When I finally got into my car, the bluetooth was no longer working Terrible communication. Broke the bluetooth in my car. Do not recommend coming here for service. Manager at first tried to dodge responsibility, threatened to have me trespassed because I raised my voice slightly, tried to get me to call ford canada (which is useless and he knows it because they have no control over dealerships). Refused to pay because I should have gone to them despite them having a conflict of interest and having lied to me previously. Later, when we refused a more expensive vehicle, suddenly the original car was available again -- clearly a bait tactic. But the real issue wasn't the car -- it was the manager's complete disregard for us as customers. Throughout our visit, he walked past us several times without a greeting, eye contact, or even an acknowledgment that we existed. We asked multiple times to speak to him, and were told "you deal with me, not the manager." A manager should be present, professional, and involved -- not hiding behind staff while customers are left in confusion. He finally appeared only after we said we would leave a review, and by then, it was too late. The damage was done. He tried to shake hands as if everything was normal -- but there was no apology, no ownership, and no explanation for the lack of respect. We were ready to make a deal, even gave our Visa for a deposit, and let them test-drive our car for 15-20 minutes. But when a manager acts as if he's too important to speak to people spending thousands of dollars at his business, it tells you everything you need to know. A dealership is only as good as its leadership -- and this manager failed. He made us feel invisible and unwelcome. We walked out not because of the price, but because of the lack of human decency. Everytime the car is in they talk all this "added value" like topping up fluids and checking tire pressure... but they never actually do it. Only once did they rinse it, after me light heartedly calling them out (still no fluid top up). Five staff were all bumming around smoking as we drove off (looped around the back) with big smirks as they looked right at me; like I was the but of a joke or something. Real class act guys; thanks. Is it so wrong to want a safe vehicle for my wife and kid? We only spent $30,000.00 with Nissan and got the loaded warranty... guess that's not enough to be treated with respect here. Makes me feel like a chump. Incompetent and hostile on the offset sums this place up.
