I had 21 windows, 7 glass block windows and 2 storm doors installed. When many of the glass block failed, they refused to fix.

I was visiting my aunt in Pittsburgh and accidentally broke her anvient thermostat. The front panel…read morejust fell off when I was trying to fiddlw with the controls. The model was so old that I was not able to find a manual for it and after I noticed it still had a mercury capsule for measuring temperature I told her we should replace the whole thing anyway. I had no idea how the wiring worked, so I looked for a handyman nearby with experience working on these older models. I found Oleh through his website, he told me he has replaced the exact same model in the past and even told me what the wires were upfront so I decided to go with him to do the job. He said he could buy a replacement on his way to me and didn't charge me extra, even showed me the receipt for how much he paid for the new one. I paid 25$+tax for the new thermostat and 85$ for the replacement work. He knew exactly what he was doing. Because the new device was smaller he also applied some drywall filler to patch up the spot for free. The communication was great, pricing was very transparent, everything worked, so I'm very happy with the service.

Vohidjon was my initial contact. We exchanged information, photos and scheduled the work via phone…read more His English is good. At the last minute, he informed me that his brother was coming. However, he did not speak any English. How disappointing! I probably should have stopped there, but I didn't and I regretted it. It was too hard to communicate even the most simple words. We had to use a translator app which takes away from the time I'm paying for. I believe if you're going to charge $50 an hour, and the state minimum is $7.50, you should speak English. If you don't, you need someone with you that does. I had a series of tasks and every conversation required the app. The performance was excellent for some tasks and others were a bit disappointing. I was trying to patch some holes in the wall in the paint did not match exactly. He painted all the holes instead of just doing a small part and getting my approval before moving forward. Maybe we lost something in translation there. Now I have uneven colors and I'll have to cover with a painting. I'm giving it 3 stars because I feel that announcing that the worker does not speak English should be business practice for transparency. A paying customer deserves that. I paid them in full and made my comments known. If you only have one task, perhaps a translation app is okay. In my case, we had several and the constant need to record and play made it for a long afternoon.
