Be careful about this contractor. They used KOHLER product, but they do not belong to Kohler company. They have very bad customer service. No show for every appointment and there is no way you can reach them by phone for no show. The project is not completed professionally. See the attached photos. It is ~$14,000 project. We have used Legacy twice for new windows. The quality is excellent although some of the windows are likely pricier than other companies. I love that there is a strong warranty that can be passed onto a new homeowner. The problem is with the installation. We got a very large picture window and it looks great, but the men who installed it left dents in the wood around it. The second time we used Legacy, we got two windows. After they installed our kitchen window, we quickly noticed that the screen was ripped in two different places. We had a hard time believing that the man installing it didn't notice as he put it up. They also came with the wrong material for a large window in our living room and wanted to come back to do the work another day, although we had taken the day off. The man working for us was very unhappy that he had to go back and get the right material. Basically, you have to babysit during the installation and double check to make sure everything's okay. Definitely be present for this. The company offers $25 if you post a positive review, which may skew some of the accuracy of what you're reading. (Clearly, we're not going to get $25.) While the end result is great, after two installation issues, we would be gun shy about using this company again. read more

I contracted Legacy for a custom window siding job. It was very easy to discuss the project from start to finish with the the receptionist, estimate inspector and actual contract workers. The actual contractors were friendly and understanding of the work we wanted, got along well with our dogs, and cleaned up everything after bringing all their equipment in. They even fixed one of our wobbly railings after noticing it just to be nice and mentioned it in passing. The end result for our house siding is to prevent water damage and their work looks perfect. Aluminum siding was bent into place and set evenly aligned with clean caulking. I'd be happy to hire their team again for any other projects. read more

I waited for two weeks after the project was finally completed to write this review so it would be fair and factual. This was a bathroom, closet, dressing area along with a small bathroom remodel. Pros The end result was very nice after the final fixes were completed. The quality of the work was exceptional but required tight oversight, my personal supervision and numerous calls with the 2nd in command at the company as the project manager was not responsive. The subcontractor was trustworthy. In my opinion, I felt this with the subcontractor but not as much as with the other workers. The subcontractor (1 guy) did show up every day as scheduled. For the project, I did make two changes. The first involved moving an approx. 3 ft wall over 12 inches as the sub-contractor advised he would need to reconstruct the wall as it was slightly bowed, it would not be any additional work. Next, I had the ceiling in the small bathroom area raised up to the cathedral ceiling as the subcontractor told me this too would not be an issue as he planned to reconstruct the framing of the ceiling anyway. The bathroom size is less than 5 1/2 ft by 8 ft. Cons The number of workers provided was woefully inadequate. The job was started two weeks from the date indicated on the contract. The job was estimated to be completed in 4 weeks. On week 10, I felt like the guy was living with us! The project manager would not return my calls or texts despite over 7+ specific messages left with the guy. This was a very expensive project ($30,000+) and one would expect at least a weekly check in from someone! After 3 days on the job, 1 of the 2 subcontracting team members assigned failed to show up. The job was a larger one and the company failed to provide additional workers despite a plea from the subcontractor and myself after the one person quit. They did provide a drywall guy for a very limited time and a helper after 9 weeks i.e. someone to help finish the job as it was twice the amount of time promised and I felt they just wanted to collect my money. While the drywall guy was good, he sanded the walls with a bag that had a whole in it. The job was on the second floor and I came home one day to find the guy dusting my living room! Drywall dust was all over the house! The plumbers came to disconnect my faucets and re-pipe for the remodel. They used my bathroom and left plumbers putty (or what I hope was plumbers putty) on the toilet seat, the toilet handle, bathroom door knob, my handrail going down to the front door and the front storm door handle. When it came to hooking the new tub to the re-piped lines, they sent what appeared to be 2 apprentices who couldn't figure out how to connect the tub. I asked a few questions of the one guy to be 'barked at' by one saying, "what's your issue". I was surprised by this response and replied "my issue is that I want the connections to be done correctly!". They then went to install my shower head which was never tested once installed. As they were leaving my house, I turned it on to find it was not working. I had to run back out to stop them and to return to fix the 'issue'. After they left, I found approx. 5-6 pennies had been placed under my toilet. While I learned this is a common practice to level the toilet, to leave them sticking out around the bottom was not professional. These two guys left without being able to hook up the tub and they finally sent over a Master plumber days later to complete the hook up. On week 7, the subcontractor was feeling the pain of the work and was (understandably) moving quite slowly. Again, despite his cry and mine for additional help, there was none to be found. One day, it took 2 hours to add two pieces of wall tile to the shower area. The tile was 12" x 24"! The 2nd in command at the company finally came over on week 7 as he wanted payment. Upon his arrival, he realized how slow the job was proceeding. He promised it would be done within a week of his visit but that did not happen. While my job was being completed, I was told the president of the company was doing a major remodel at his home. I was told any 'extra' workers they had were called to work on his home as a priority as he needed it done before the holidays. Thanks for leaving your customers to fend for themselves! I could list many more items but am sure my point has been made. Bottom line, this company may be good at installing windows and doors as well as doing smaller projects, but they were over their head to do bathroom (and likely) kitchen projects unless you have a lot of time to invest in managing/supervising your own project. read more

worst customer service ever!!!! $18,000.00 spent on a remodel, they have their garbage in my front yard for the last 8 days,and blocked my sidewalk, I called 3 different times, found out they have a third party contractor who does the garbage removal, they won't be out until Monday (10 days after completion of the job!) I got a hold of Diane, asked why they didn't have someone else come pick it up, after repeated excuses on why the garbage was still in my yard, the last thing Diane said was, and I quote, " I am not dealing with this at 3:42 on a Friday" $18k, and that's how they treat people? read more

Had Diane come out to give us a quote. She came out took measurements and then she said she would send a quote the next day. A week goes by and no quote so I emailed her and she said that I would have it next day. Of course that was a week ago and still no quote or follow up. ordered 3 new doors was happy with front storm door. they put the wrong storm doors in on our kitchen and basement doors they installed and said it is our fault and would not replace with the doors we wanted or it would be at cost! I had to keep calling back to get a answer. they confused my mom who is older. she is not happy with the company at all. she said don't trust them at all! and we ordered the doors in March never got installed till beginning of August we thought they would be a reliable company that we saw at the home show! want to let people know they do not explain what they are selling to you very well and you sign contracts and you don't even know what they mean so I give them a so-so review just watch what you sign and you have to listen very carefully to what they are telling you because the salesman changes it around in the owners don't want to help you at all when you call them so we pay the price for their mistake read more
