The team was punctual, did the work quickly, and communicated well with me remotely. I really, really love that they try to repurpose and recycle materials. Hope they're able to do something with those wood and metal beams. Although I don't know the junk removal market well enough to really opine on pricing, to us, prices seemed fair. We'd be happy to use this company again.

My message to Gravity Moving was returned quickly and Andy was professional and knowledgeable. So I decided to give this rather new company a chance at doing a local move for me. Miguel and Marcos showed up on time and then sprung into action immediately. They wrapped the items to be moved, and moved them from one house to another with care. Definitely give them a try, and judge for yourself.

I'm a disabled Army veteran and could not do this on my own. These guys were fabulous!!!! I read their prior reviews and chose them. I'd highly recommend them to anyone facing a move of any kind. I even had stuff I no longer wanted and they took that too as part of their junk business. Thanks so very much. Marybeth Lengyel

I read countless reviews online before moving forward with Abode and Beyond, what a mistake. First…read moreof all, they do not have a working phone number now, but they did when I first booked with them - I would have never booked if I wasn't able to speak to someone. I got no communication prior to the moving date and because of this they ended up driving to the wrong address on the day of the move. We also ran out of boxes while packing up items, but again I wanted to discuss the logistics of the move beforehand but there is no phone. They did not use their own truck they showed up in a Uhaul which was not what I was told would happen when I booked - I asked if they had their own trucks and they said yes (on the phone). The two guys that did the moving were very hard working and very nice guys, but they did not wrap ANY of my furniture and it resulted in my couch rubbing on the truck or walls and becoming discolored. This $5k couch was half the reason I booked movers to begin with. I didn't know that these items should have been wrapped, I've never done this before, but one of my neighbors just moved yesterday and the care with which their movers used was night and day to what my furniture received. The photos on Abode and Beyond's website with furniture covered in blue blankets are just for show, nothing like that happens the day of. I tipped the movers as they really did hustle, and helped to move stuff around to the right location in the new place, I want to make that clear, but I didn't realize the extent of the damage until after they had left - and the whole reason you hire movers is to move your stuff undamaged... I asked one of the sales consultants Brett for a phone call prior to the move and got nothing back. I also asked him for one after the move to discuss all the issues and again got nothing but an email. I was really hoping this would be a good experience. ~$1600 after he discounted some stuff due to the issues (down to cost he said) to move a 1 bedroom apartment and I will have to pay to have my couch cleaned and it might not even be correctable. There is a hole in a box spring (which really doesn't matter but it shows the theme), and a half container of bleach was packed for some reason which spilled during the move onto other items. Had they wrapped my furniture with the blue/gray blankets or whatever is pictured on their website and used their phone I think this would have been a 4-5 star experience. Unfortunately a few items got damaged and I think it was preventable after watching other movers in action.

Anchorline came up in my Facebook ads and just at the right time. Kevin the owner messaged my right away with a price and we arranged for immediate pickup. I will use him in the future rather than paying my trash pickup company extra for these types of pickups.

I loved how Nick was flexible with the move time and had no problems with moving it up earlier. The movers (Andrew and Jeff, I believe) were very fast and efficient, and I just had to sit back and relax as they did their thing. They were organized and wrapped all the furniture that needed to be wrapped. I did a move from New Haven to Stamford for a studio and everything was done in less than 4 hours! From the first call to the payment, everything was smoother than I ever imagined and I thank them for everything and their work! To note: clarify your payment method before so you are both clear when you pay! I wasn't made aware of any insurance options (not that I needed any) but might be good to bring up in your first phone call as well. Overall, they were straightforward, not like the con-artist sounding big moving companies or aggressive movers who just want your money. Strongly recommend Bema Brothers!!
