My daughter has been having some issues with her vehicle over the past couple of weeks. Despite having the alternator and battery replaced, she frequently has moments where the dashboard on her vehicle blacks out and the buttons and knobs become inoperable. Over the weekend, she even had a moment where her vehicle stopped working in the middle of the road. After taking it to a general repair shop twice with no resolution, we decided that it was time to take it to a shop that specializes in automotive electrical. We were referred to Dumbwireguy.
Let me tell you...Dumbwireguy lives up to their name!
If you check out the website, they say that you can "call or simply drop by". We called and it is a good thing we did. The guy who answered the phone was definitely "no nonsense" and "stands about the rest"...if you are considering the rudest people to whom we have ever had the displeasure of talking. In a tone that assured us we were keeping him from something much more important, he informed us that he wouldn't check out our daughter's vehicle unless it exhibited issues 70% of the time she was driving. In his "determined, driven, caring, and unrelenting" tone, he said that he "has way too much stuff to do to piddle around with something I can't get to act up" and then went on to describe how he would have to actually charge me for services that he rendered, as if I was expecting him to undergo what I know might be a timely diagnostic process for free.
So, if you find yourself in need of an automotive electrical specialist, save yourself some time and avoid some insult by going somewhere other than Dumbwireguy. According to them, they "set the standard when it comes to no nonsense automotive repairs". What they really do is set the bar pretty low for professional service and according to the man I spoke with today, have more than enough business to keep them happy. read more
