Central and Auto Repair is a smaller shop that was immediately responsive to my questions and offered to squeeze the car in to diagnose the problem. The woman that coordinated the service was so helpful, and offered to ask one of the guys in the shop to take my Mom home after she dropped the car off in the morning and pick her up when the repairs were complete. Guys from the shop were kind to my mom when they picked her up and dropped her off. True to her word the service coordinator called near the end of the day, arranged payment over the phon, and rushed the parts picked up and installed-so my Mom could have her car back the same day. I can't find service like this anymore. Thank you! While I hope I won't need to get this part repaired again, I look forward to using your shop in the future and recommending it to others.

Highly recommend using Myers Auto for all your vehicle's repairs and service. From the customer…read moreservice (Heather & Tim, and others), to the mechanics, and the entire operation from management is great. Have heard this is a family-owned business, and it shows. They treat you as family too, and go beyond helping you. You will be happy to repair your car there. They are honest and will NOT do anything that they think you do not need. They assess your vehicle and will call you to tell you things you need and these you do not. Many shops would just do the stuff I checked the boxes for "weatherize" my vehicle (and I don't even know what that includes). :) The mechanic called me and assess my vehicle, and recommended me to fix a few things; others for a future date. Other shops would have done everything, even it didn't need to. Myers' mechanics don't do that & scam $. They are HONEST.

Ten minutes left in my two hour window and they come to tell me they cannot align the car as I have a rear wheel bearing out and a ball joint that is going to "fail immediately." I would have been alarmed except that I had the ball joint replaced just two months prior with a reciept for the work done and clear, clean, new parts visible, "no you can't go out to the bay to look, too dangerous." I was at this shop forever, I've got three guys walking through the waiting room "consulting the boss," about my dangerous issues and what should we tell the customer? I told them put it all back together, I'm leaving. He charged me $26. I do not trust this shop, idiots and liars working the bays and I hope an embarrassed boss who got caught in his own bullshit. Don't ask me to review if you don't want the truth.

Tldr; I needed help with a hardstart/idle issue and was charged $100 for a Quick OBD II scan…read more(which I didn't need), a car start, and an oil check. Will not use, nor recommend these guys. I have a car that has a hardstart/idle issue. After spending a lot of time and effort trying to solve it myself and failing, I decided I needed help from someone with more than the meager knowledge I have; so I took it to Automotive Diagnostic Center to have them find the problem. I made sure that I provided them, both in written and verbal form, a comprehensive description of the problem and the actions that I had taken to try to solve it so that they would have a good starting point. I received a call from them saying that the oil needed changed and I could come pay the diagnostic fee, $100, and pick up my car, or they could change the oil, $60, but they couldn't proceed with the diagnosis until the oil had been changed. To be clear, I am not complaining that they said the oil needed changed because, it did. I'm not even complaining about the cost they quoted me for the oil change; $60 is reasonable, a bit steep, but not horrible. My problem is, they charged me $100 to do a surface scan with an OBD II, start the car and check the oil. I'm sorry, but, can you not see the issue here, ADC? This is the kind of stuff that so many shops pull that make people distrust and dislike you. For $100, you could have done any number of things (all things that I don't have the tools to do nor the knowledge to know what to look for and why I took to someone who should): * Compression test * Blow by test * Intake manifold vacuum test * Fuel pressure test * Check the spark plugs * Use a fancier OBD II to do a more in depth diagnosis to see what each of the components are actually doing to see if one is just barely working or acting in a way that indicates a short or bad wire/connection. Those are just some examples off the top of my head. I'm sure that other things could have been done. What you did do, I could have done, and had done myself and would not have brought it to you had that been what needed to be done.

I took my car in to a large chain business who changed my tire and put a bent rim back on even though I had a new one there for them to replace it with as well as sold me 2 new tires that were still very good (they were both at a 6, obviously I have educated myself on tire tread since then) They also let me drive out of their shop with a loud noise coming from the tire they were working on and never mentioned it to me. My husband told me to call Tracy's and I decided to try them out. They were very honest with me and kept me updated on the progress being made on my car. They were the ones who found the bent rim and said they didn't feel comfortable with putting me back on the road with a tire that didn't have a good seal. The loud noise ended up being a broken strut which was fixed and rides like new again. How that could have been missed by the other company is beyond me. They took good care of me, found the needed parts as quickly as possible, and their prices are fair. The fact that I was not taken advantage of as a female means a lot to me. I will definitely be making them my go to automotive shop.

I took it to my neighborhood shop and they didn't think I needed all that work, but could assess it completely as they are not a full repair place -- they recommended Auto Smart. Am I ever glad I went! They went over the car thoroughly and explained why they agreed with the dealer ship AND when they differed they explained why. Having little money for unexpected car repairs they helped me figure out what I must do before the trip and what could wait. They even helped arrange financing for the repairs. The were courteous, patient and professional in all their interactions. They were quick and finished when promised. I have been back ever since then, including when I was looking at buying a vehicle. The mechanics found about a $1,000 worth of repairs needed and recommended that I mot buy it unless the dealership would do the repairs or lower the price by $1200. Thanks to them, I was firm that the problems be fixed 1st or price lowered or I'd walk. I got the car, after they made the necessary repairs! Oh, they also warrant their work, don't find that often. They are the 1st repair shop that I am confident that the work they recommend is needed, that the work will be done correctly, and the price fair. (And I'm 60 years old).

Not only did Peniston have what they needed to fix the problem the same day, they were quick, and the whole process only cost us a fraction of what we spent before! The icing on the cake was that they even took time to text us to ask us how the truck was running, and to make sure we were satisfied! Amazing service!!
