I'd like to start off by saying I've purchased a lot of Jeans and underwear from here. This is the first pair I've had issues with in all of them. The pair I attempted to return had the seam rip just below the crotch. Jeans were a year and 4 months old. Store associate said they couldn't do anything for me since they were this over a year old and the cause was likely cause I wore my pants too low... yes he really did say that. So I proceeded to ask him if the jeans I'm wearing right now are too low, which he said no. They are Duluth trading jeans and I wear my jeans like a normal adult. More disappointed in the fact that nothing was offered " No Bull means if something goes wrong, we will always treat you right." I certainly don't feel rightly treated. This should say, no bull for the first year only. Store associate seemed like he cared, he was just handcuffed with what he could do. They didn't even offer a discount on a new pair. First of all the clothing I've purchased from Duluth Trading Company is top notch. Very comfortable and very durable. However, stay away from their on line ordering. It only takes a couple days to get an order shipped out but they use something called UPS Mail Innovations. The order starts out via UPS then when it gets to my city it is taken to the main post office a block away from the UPS terminal. This adds one or more days to the delivery time. My latest order criss crossed the Midwest with UPS then was mailed to my local post office. The package was received on 03/24/2022 at our local post office, "Package Acceptance Pending." Today is 03/26/2022. No package yet. This mode of delivery makes no sense. How can this be cost effective? Again, fantastic product, lousy delivery!! I recommend finding a Duluth store front and buying direct. read more

This is a brown stain of a company. Products are inferior and they send nuisance spam constantly. Think about it. If your products are over-prices and don't hold up, you have to aggressively advertise to find no suckers to purchase these products. So they are SPAMMERs of the very worst sort. Do not waste your time! I tried to place an order for my husband to be sent in his name. When I put cc information in it would not let me change the name to mine for the credit card. I hit the back button and redid in my name so it would go through. I then chatted in to verify that only one order went through a minute later. they told me both went through and they could not stop either order. So they will bounce my account because they have a shady website that will not do what it should and if you make a mistake you pay for it. Now I get to deal with a bounced bank account. lesson learned do not do business with them! read more

We stopped in after a very long road trip and could not have had a better experience. Adam was extremely personable and helpful from the minute we walked in and never hesitated to grab a size or suggest a fit for what we were shopping for. A quick stop for socks turned into finally finding a few flannels we loved after four years of searching. In fact, everything that was suggested was amazing and we ended up with a lot we were happy with. The store was also extremely clean and well stocked, even during such a strange time for retail. I like their products a lot. Quality seems high. Prices are too high, IMO though. Here's my biggest issue: THEY DON'T OFFER ENOUGH ITEMS IN SMALL FOR MEN AND WOMEN. I am editing my review now. I originally was upset by the customer service, however I have been contacted and now they are paying for return shipping. Altho, they should be sending me a new product free. Here is what happened: I ordered a vise combo (tool) set. It arrived in a box that was ripped open simply because they did an extremely poor packing job. In fact, the package was way too small for the item and it didn't fit, plus there was absolutely no packing inside with the product. The corner of the vise, which was to be a gift, was buggered up. I contacted customer svc and sent them pics of the thing sticking out of the box and their response (originally) was a "canned" email back telling me to send it back...oh and they were going to charge ME for return shipping!? Noooo! Baaaad customer service! However, I then rcvd another message stating (after posting a bad review) that they would refund my shipping charge. I ordered a "forever bag" and enjoyed it for a few weeks. Then I noticed that the trim on the inside pocket was already tearing. I called customer service and was told that they were already aware that the bags had an issue with this. Since they have a NO BS return policy, I was promised a full refund of my purchase. I only had one issue, the credit card I had used was no longer active. The customer service representative noted my account and assured me that they would refund my purchase by check. Just to be sure, I included a note with the return requesting that they issue the refund by check. I called about 3 weeks after the receipt of the return was confirmed. Customer service was busy and I was told that they would call me right back. 3 days later, I sent an email to ask about my refund. I promptly received a reply that accounting would look at it and get back to me, in a few more days. 4 days later, I get a reply that they did credit the inactive card and that they would issue a check. Ordered items for family members and returned 2 items as they were way big compared to the sizing chart on the web page. There was never any tracking information and had to call twice to find out where my order was. When I called I was on hold for 20-30 minutes each time before talking with customer service. Watch out when buying on line. Cyber Monday brought a few issues on my order, set up for in store pick up. They did not have the color of underwear so they said they would just ship the 4 of 5 units to me. Originally said in store, then charged the higher price. Then I noticed that they are now charging freight and handling. They ship to the store first then to customer. They would not credit or cancel order saying it was shipped. When they said their pants would stand up to a wild boar assault I had to try those fire hose cargo pants out west against ancient blackberry bushes with 3 inch thorns. I kid you not: these firehose jeans in flannel are the ones I grab when my buddy says let's hunt. Tough and warm: like my loving wife. So I just received my three pair of extra long, buck naked underwear ---- they are awesome!!! I was so excited, and then it happened --- MADE IN TAIWAN!! Really? AHHHHHH!!!!!! Your adds are so grassroots Americana - Taiwan? I also bought my wife a shirt-jack and my son buys a number of products from you on a regular basis. So, my question would be: If I am going to pay that much for a pair of underwear - why aren't they American Made? There are companies here that can make them; with American workers who need the jobs. I had a good experience here. Sales staff seemed attentive without being pushy. Merchandise is very good quality. The long-sleeve henley shirts I purchased are made with heavy duty cotton. The underwear seems equally good quality. One thing to remember: unlike lots of other American manufacturers, the sizes here are pretty "true." That "38" waist garment you're accustomed to buying by mail order may be tight from Duluth Trading. You might want to size up. read more

Products are excellent quality. Have purchased 5 paire of firehose work pants. One had the button come off. We returned the pants and revived a replacement pair didn't even pay shipping. They stood behind their warranty. Bought woman's flex hose coat. love it. Only wish they hadn't sold out. Customer service was above and beyond though. I called and they located stores that had what I was looking for in stock and gave me they locations to call. First store I called didn't have it but they called around for me an called me back 20min later with the phone number of the location that had one. The pants I ordered were huge even tho I ordered a size down, and they hung crooked. It took them 3 weeks to issue a refund, and they subtracted $23 for shipping both ways (much more than shipping actually costs for this tiny item). I had a very good experience at the Avon, Ohio store last week. I had an item for return which went smoothly. Employees Kayla and Wanda were very helpful showing me items and answering my questions. First time ONLINE order, terrible service = LAST order ever! Ordered some base layer apparel online and received an order confirmation email with a confirmation number. 3 weeks pass. Never received the apparel (base layer) and never received any shipment confirmation e-mails or any communications from Duluth Trading. Called and talked to several CSRs and it was determined they was a pricing error on the web site and they would not honor the online price and Duluth stated they were free to "not honor online pricing at their discretion" in the case of errors. Anyway, I was fairly miffed and thought the response was odd and not customer-centric over a few pairs of base layer underwear. The CSR could care less about customer retention. So Sad So Bad. The customer service could be better, not a single sales person asked me if I was finding what I was looking for or if I needed NY help, an I circled the store twice. First time ordering from Duluth Trading Company. DEFINITELY THE LAST! They were running a promotional on Black Friday for 30% off entire order. What normally happens on websites I've dealt with is that you may not see the discount as you are completing your order, but it will show up on the last page. Surprise. There was no last page and I ended up paying full price for everything. I went back into the site to see what I'd done wrong and there, in small print, were instructions telling you to hit the link if you wanted the 30% off. OK. No problem. My mistake. There is no cancel order button, so one minute after placing the order I called customer service. They said it was too soon to "see" my order and would I please call back in 20 minutes, which I did. It was still too early to "see" so would I please call back in 30 minutes, which I did. They could "see" it but not affect any change. Would I please call back in 20 minutes, which I did. Now we're in a whole different game. They can clearly "see" see the order, but it has gone to shipping and is too late to stop. I could not possibly make up such a dumb story. I asked to speak to a supervisor, who explained to me that she totally understood my frustration but couldn't help and it's just a glitch in their system. But hey, she did it in a real folksy way, just like the commercials. These people are total jerks. So now I have this really expensive, full-price stuff and will have to PAY to return it if I want it out of my face. read more

I loved Duluth to begin with. I thought I had found tee shirt nirvana. I buy t shirts for women. No yank? Well, I beg to differ. I noticed that after washing several times, they DO start to shrink in length. I have on a fairly new one right now that barely covers my waist. And they tend to lose shape. Now I dry my clothing, jeans and all, on low. So not like in a hot dryer. If I hung to dry, would be shapeless, as they do stretch out easily and lose their shape too. And fade fast. And mysteriously develop little holes. I thought was me, in a tee I had worn maybe 2x. Then I started looking at reviews and saw another post about it.....it will be little tiny holes. I could live with that if they actually did not shrink up. They fit beautifully, long at first, then shrink like you are wearing a baby tee. :( For the price, they ought to be able to do better. They have great customer service, the best. it behooves me, but The Search begins anew. Why is it do hard to find longer women's tees that don't shrink up in length????? read more

We bought plenty of items from Duluth for years, including Jackets, jeans, shoes, underwear, socks... Don't mind paying a little more for excellent quality, and it is! One major issue with the jeans we have purchased, the front pockets simply deteriorate fast, I hope they start using a much stronger material for the pockets so the can last as long as the jeans themselves. Ordered 2 shirts on 12/7/17. 1 shirt arrived a week later. The second shirt did not ship? Called Duluth on 12/15/17 to check on 2nd shirt. Customer service stated that the second item was out of stock so they canceled the second item. C/S stated they normally send am e-mail notifying the customer, but in my case they did not notify me. The C/S rep stated that they are behind and just didn't get to it. I've seen their commercials on TV where they state no Bull. I think they should revise the commercial to state " No Bull unless you catch us. I'm done with this Mom & Pop shop. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

User reviews/ratings for items on Duluth's web site appear to be significantly screened and are of limited reliability. I ordered various products from this company over a period of a few years and frequently left reviews of the items. I liked most of the items, felt they were good quality, if pricey. Usually waited for sales. I was initially drawn in by the high ratings left by customers for their products which suggested most were happy with the items. There were some critical reviews but they were far outweighed by the number of highly positive reviews. However in writing product reviews myself I found my positive reviews were always posted but my mediocre and below reviews often were never listed. It eventually became obvious to me that they were deliberately skewing their item ratings by only allowing a limited number of mediocre and poor ratings; enough so it wasn't obvious but enough to make buyers more inclined to purchase the items. I lost trust in the company and stopped purchasing from them since I could not rely on their user ratings to identify which were worthwhile. read more

They generally have great products but if there's a mistake I hope you used a credit card! I have purchased thousands of dollars in Duluth merchandise and there were a few mistakes when I called them on these mistakes they try to get out of it and when they do say they are going to make it right it never happens they said they would send me a check a couple times for a error! I have visited the Duluth store quite a few times. I love the quality of the clothing, as does my husband. The marketing is clever and gives me a good chuckle. The only reason I do not rate DTC a 5 is the customer service. Personalities seem rather flat, almost bordering on them doing me a favor by ringing up my (usually at least $100+) purchase. I have never been asked if I needed any help with anything or have been thanked for shopping. And I have left every time feeling this way. Not that I need a huge celebration when I swipe my card, but a warm, genuine hello or thank you would be a nice touch. I will still shop here and recommend it to friends regardless. read more

As others have said, the quality is excellent, the prices maybe a little high--but there's so much cheaply made junk in stores these days that we may be objecting to what should be normal prices for good clothing.
