Hi - This review is…read morea little late, but I am still thinking about the amazing tour I went on last summer, so I knew I had to sit down and write a review. I was in Duluth for my brother's wedding and didn't know anything about the city or the area. I was with my then-boyfriend and we knew it was a beautiful area, but wasn't sure the best way to experience it all. That is when I booked us on the Scenic North Shore Bicycle Tour. It was by far the best thing we did in Duluth (minus watching my brother get married,ha) and we were raving about it to all the weddings guests all weekend. The guys running the show were great to talk to and they clearly thought of everything. If you are traveling to Duluth and want to really have the best tour guides, book with them.

We had an absolutely awesome experience tonight…read more We started at the Duluth Huskies stadium (Wade Stadium) and enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of the field, locker room, and grounds, we were also treated to stories about the history of the team. The general manager was our tour guide... he was one of the friendliest and knowledgeable people I've ever met! The stadium and team are rich with history, even down to the bricks they used to erect the entrance to the field. Dave was our bus driver and tour guide for the night. After the stadium tour he took us to Bent Paddle where we were able to samples some brews and enjoy the atmosphere, what a cool place! Their beers are outstanding! The 14 degrees ESB is a GABF (Great American Beer Festival) winner! I would highly recommend trying it. There's an awesome BBQ joint that will deliver to the tasting room too! We ended the night back at the stadium with a Huskies' baseball game. The won in walkoff fashion! It was a great game! We are looking foreword to another tour. I would highly recommend a tour with Duluth Experience.

There is a bit of narration on board but it's pre recorded and not that interesting. You don't really learn a lot on this train. It's not amazing for sight seeing either lol. But it's something to do and it's touristy and the ladies working the train are fun. I'm sure it's fun for bachelorette parties etc. Also kids can ride and they have activities like coloring etc for the kids. It's not that expensive. It doesn't take very long. It's an old train that they've kept up. As long as your expectation isn't too high, I'd recommend it. Get on, have a Bloody Mary, sit and look out the windows. Of note- our seats were on the upper deck sunny side and it was very hot!!!

($10 with cash $12 with card) One of the best things about coming to this event, (besides the Christmas cheer!) is that there are multiple free things for you! Free food for you!: Hot chocolate Cookie Popcorn Marshmallows to roast! They do have items for purchase: Smores kits Hot apple cider Many gift shop items And more!! There are characters that walk around! Including the grinch, Santa, holiday bear, etc... This is an amazing event that can't not be missed!! My kids absolutely adore and look forward to it every year! Tip: the week before you go, go onto their website and you can pay a small fee to place someone name on the "nice" or "naughty" list! We sadly zipped through the whole thing as my niece and nephew were shivering in their little wagon underneath three different blankets. Fortunately due to this it was super short wait times to see Santa, get popcorn, hot cocoa + cookies, and there was no one roasting marshmallows! Haha but the chill air from the water made it a bit unbearable and I think we called it quits after about 15 minutes. Loads of photo opportunities and I'm sure we'll enjoy it more next year. I'm here for work but during the downtime I want to do something fun and doing a Segway tour was something I've never done before. The training before hand was absolutely necessary and beneficial. No skimping on this tour, they took care of all of us from start to finish. I am the proud owner of my Segway license! If you're in Duluth this is the thing to do. You can bet every person we passed along the way was a little envious.

Says it can fit 7 (depending on size and weight), but I'd rather not share with more than one other couple. Neither of us had ever been in a sea plane before...pretty cool how easy it took off and how smooth the landing was despite a little chop on the bay. Next time I think we would bring a picnic and games for the park, maybe a suit for the beach. Seemed like the best beach in the area with respect to the sand, view and secluded nature.

The take-off and landing was super smooth and the plane was comfortable for me, my wife, 9 yr old and 3 yr old. The trip lasted for almost 45 mins and John took us through many area of Duluth and Superior. He shared details about every area, rich history and how it is today. The best part we liked about him is his liver to serve the customer. He was always looking to find an opportunity that will make the tour more memorable. He saw that a ship was going to the bridge and he timed it properly to ensure we can see and take as many pictures of the ship crossing the bridge from true 360.

Considering that it was all donated, and it's a self guided tour, 32$ per person for an adult and 20$ for under 18 is kinda steep. Overall I had a great time reading and looking, if you or kids don't find that stuff interesting, or you have a tighter budget, I this might not be for you.

We had planned on going to Michigan for a day trip, but with the terrible storm damage and wash outs - decided to change our plans. Let me just say our Sea Cave trip with captain Mike could not have been any better! We had such a great time. The boat was so fun and fast. The lake and caves were great. And Mike was very personable and knowledgeable. Also, their gift shop is very nice too. I highly recommend. And the only thing I'm disappointed about, is the fact that we didn't discover them sooner. I have never been dog sledding before but I wanted to do it before I got older. This was an…read moreamazing experience. We looked around and my wife found Positive Energy and we decided to book a weekend in Duluth so we could go dog sledding. We got all of our warm gear ready and headed out. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner and one of the dogs. Next we got a lesson on sleds and dog teams. Walking into the dog area we got to meet all of the dogs. Then we got to harness them and get them set on the rope of each sled. We learned a lot about dogs and the history of sledding the whole time were were there from the staff. They make sure you really understand everything and take the time to answer every question you have. We did the 3 hour tour and it was amazing!!! We got on the sleds as passengers and after about 25 min mine stopped and I got to drive. Wow was it fun, driving a dog sled on my own across a frozen lake. It was a lot more work than I expected but worth every second. After we were done sledding we helped get the dogs off of the sleds, they got treats and we helped get them back to each dogs house. I recommend Positive Energy to anyone wanting to try dogsledding. The staff and the dogs are amazing!
