The price did not match the food

My first time here and it was ok The service was good, the staff was very attentive. The bandera was good and had bolon ok. But the price was crazy outrageous

Staff are very friendly, attentive & welcoming . The food is delicious. Couldn't decide on what to get so we got a little bit of everything and my family finished it all . The place is so well put together and beautiful art representing Ecuador

Good neighborhood Ecuadorian restaurant in LA If you're looking for authentic Ecuadorean Food in Los Angeles this is the spot, as soon as you walk in you feel like you transcended to Ecuador. My first impression was amazing, the attention was on point and of course the food was amazing!!! Now here's the one of the best things they offer on Fridays, "Encebollado and or Chuleta con Arroz y Menestra con una Tropical" from noon to midnight this is unheard of iRRA, but now you can go out for drinks and know you have a spot to go to para el chuchaqui! I've been going to this restaurant for 8 months now and I wish I had discovered it sooner, the people are amazing, its family owned and I can go on and on about this hidden gem. They also have Ecuadorean products, atun, chifles, galletas de amor, aji, cacao en polvo etc. Definitely a must try if you're in town!

    Bandera-- guatita y ceviche

The food is Delicious. I had guatita and ceviche. My son had guatita and seco de chivo. My mom had caldo de pata. Friendly service. I also like the flag and escudo that was represented on a mural on the outside of the building.

Mote Pillo! So cheesy and so good!

I'm SO glad this place exists! My husband is Ecuadorian, so I have been exposed to Ecuadorian food quite a few times. I also try to cook it myself because I want my son to be exposed to his culture (I myself am from Wisconsin, so don't worry he'll also have plenty of cheese and brats haha). We live just outside the city so we never make our way to Gardena unless there's a reason. Our nephew had a film screening at a nearby theater, so we were looking for food to eat beforehand...lo and behold, Ecuadorian nearby?! We had to try it. I really want this place to succeed because the food was really good and LA is soooo lacking in good Ecuadorian. So this is my honest review! PROS: - The food is really good. We had the mote pillo, humitas de sal (which comes with a nice big piece of Ecuadorian cheese! The Wisconsinite in me was so happy), guatita and seco de chivo with rice and plantain chips, a cheese empanada (which came with some kind of creamy dip, yummy), and a bolito de queso. - The owners/people who work there were very nice! It felt like being welcomed by family! Service was lightning fast and all our requests were accommodated. - Soccer playing and Latin music videos playing on the TV. Fun Latin music, Ecuadorian murals...just a very Ecuadorian vibe. Loved it! - Reasonably large menu! I couldn't decide so I ordered a lot. CONS: - Upon arrival, we were a little disoriented when we asked where we could sit. There were plenty of open tables, but instead of inviting us to sit at one of the open ones, we were invited to sit with a man (one of the owners?) who was already eating some ceviche in a small booth. I think maybe they were trying to keep the larger tables open for bigger parties? But there was plenty of space, so I'm not really sure why they wanted us to sit in an intimate booth across from someone who was already sitting there. And not sure why he didn't move?? I guess the nice thing about this is that we felt like family (and he even recommended the ceviche which he was clearly enjoying haha), but I can see how it would be off putting. - The booths and tables need a little TLC. The padding in the booth had holes and was peeling. The frame of the booth was peeling. The other tables that were not booths didn't have consistent chairs. Some of the chairs were folding chairs, which looked a little janky and awkward. - The food wasn't ~piping~ hot. It was warm/hot. Hot enough that I could still very much enjoy it, but I think it would go a long way for the meals to come out a few degrees warmer. That said, it did come out very fast!! - Some of the condiment jars at the table needed to be wiped down -- there was some dust and grime that had accumulated. - The guatita is advertised as having maduros (sweet fried plantains- it's even in the photograph on the menu), which I was SO excited about.....but it was actually just dried plantains chips. This was disappointing to me. It's so hard to find maduros in LA! Overall, we were very pleased. Food was so delicious. My husband commented that it tasted "homemade" and "authentic". I just wish they had more Sierra style dishes (more potato, like llapingachos or locro de papa) and more sausage (my husband loves caldo de salchicha). Anyway the cons are not significant enough to keep me away -- Dulcisfama is now our reason for going to Gardena!!! We both agreed we would make the drive to come back. I ate my leftover mote pillo for breakfast this morning and I was so sad when it was gone.

Just a teen doing her Job. :) One of my friends ordered the peach mango smoothie, good but a bit water down. Prefer a little more thickness to smoothies. I got the strawberry shake which was super delicious! Highly recommend! My other friend ordered the cookies and cream shake. Everyone seemed to like the cookies and cream the best (I'm not a fan of chocolate so my opinion wouldn't count in this situation lol). The Carmel frappe was good as well. The pan dulces were fresh and very flavorful. This location is off a main street so it's easy to find. There's plenty of free parking. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

I ordered the strawberry cream croissant, and it was absolutely amazing. It was light, airy, and not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. The pastry itself was perfectly flaky and buttery every bite was delicious. I can definitely see why this place is such a big hit! I also tried the iced condensed coffee. It was definitely strong, but also incredibly creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. It paired perfectly with the croissant. Another plus is that they have plenty of parking and lots of seating, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a coffee and dessert. If you're looking for a delicious pastry and a good cup of coffee, this is a wonderful little spot to check out.

Few key notes: * There's a small free private parking lot and it is almost never 100% full even during busy hours. * While the bakery closes at 7 PM, come before lunch hours to get the full selection of baked goods and refrigerated sandwich options; otherwise, many of these items sell out before closing time. * Plenty of indoor tables, but no outdoor seating. * S-tier items: strawberry croissant, sticky bun, steamed pork bun. * A-tier items: half turkey avocado sandwich, pork katsu sandwich box, matcha cake * B-tier items: almond croissant, drip coffee. This is a nice grab-and-go spot for anyone who is looking for a quick bite and quality baked goods. Personally, this is not an ideal first-date spot or a place for really good coffee - stick with places like Corridor Flow just few blocks away.

The service wasn't great and only one drink was good or correct. I'm still not 100% sure one of…read morethem was the correct drink. I ordered 2 drinks through the app yesterday, the Honey Bori Latte (seasonal) and the Banana Milk Latte. The Banana Milk Latte was delicious once everything was mixed well, but the Honey Bori Latte was just bitter and then less bitter when mixed. It was already half melted, there was no salted honey cold foam or Jolly Pong which is supposed to be part of the drink. I got the order to go, so I didn't notice that my drink was wrong until I got home, so I couldn't even get it corrected. I didn't realize the drink was wrong at first. I thought it was just a flavor I didn't like even though I noted that I couldn't taste Barley at all. Then half way throught it, I decided to look at the description on the app to remember what it was supposed to taste like because it tasted like an ordinary flavorless latte. The description said there's barley milk, salted honey cold foam and Jolly Pong. That's when it hit me that I either got the wrong drink or someone didn't make it right because there was no flavor of salted honey and definitely no Jolly Pong in my drink. It didn't even look like I had cold foam topping my drink, but maybe that's because it was melting already. Overall, I was very upset and disappointed with my drink, but was happy my mom's drink was fine. Now this is only a part of why I was dissapointed with yesterday's experience. The other reason was the app and workers. Maybe the workers aren't used to working with the Smoking Tiger app yet? Or maybe the app still needs work, but the drinks I ordered through the app took forever to be marked ready even though my drinks had been ready for some time which was obvious because my Honey Bori Latte was already half mixed because the layers of ingredients were melting into each other. I arrived at the cafe about 5 minutes after ordering, but the app's estimated wait time was another 10 minutes which wasn't a problem for me, especially since I saw a person waiting for his order and some people inside the cafe, although it wasn't full like usual. I just assumed some people ordered before me, so I just have to wait a bit, which again was fine with me especially since I was waiting for my mom to arrive. At some point after the one person waiting for their drink left, I realized the 2 girls at the counter were just talking and not making any drinks. I checked the app and it still said my order was being prepared. After 2 more people ordered their drinks and received them immediately, I went up to the counter, by this point it had been the app's estimated 10 minute wait. I told the girl with glasses my name and showed her the order on my phone. Then she walked toward the fridge and got my drinks, put them in a drink carrier, passed them to me and then turned around while looking at the receipt paper that was with the drinks. That was it. She didn't tell me which drink was which and they were not labeled, so my mom and I just had taste them to figure out which was which. At most places, they let you know which drink is which, so I was just confused with the service I received, especially when the place wasn't busy. And to top it all off, my order was marked completed 10 minutes after I received my order which again just left me in confusion. I usually love this place and was saddened when they got rid of their Choco Mugwort drink, but I'm always looking forward to their seasonal drinks and baked goods. This time though, I don't think I was even able to taste one of their new seasonal drinks because it tasted like a regular latte with milk. I want to try their other current seasonal drinks, but I'm also worried about what I will receive in the future and I'm not ready for another disappointing coffee any time soon.
